recently our parts guy passed away, and as me and my brother are good friends with his son we were helping him clean the property and organize some things, this is what he gave us in return, it's a yard pro gt, 20 hp kohler magnum opposed twin that runs good, and hd high low 3 sp transaxle with 5 lug hubs , not sure if it's a 2300 or a 633a, it also has a new battery in it, but it does have some issues, the steering drag link is gone, and the bushings for the sector gear are shot, he has a wizard of the same style there we are trying to get as a parts mower, we would have taken it if we'd thought to check the steering on this one 1st, it has a vanguard v twin instead of the kohler, this is going to be an off roader when we get it driving

Yeah that’s a 633. The 2300 does not have high and low, it’s a 4 speed with reverse in an H pattern. 1 and 2 are on the same throw so one of the corners of the H is longer than the rest. And a cast iron case on the 2300 where the 633 is aluminum.
Always kind of wanted to mess with one of those kohler opposed twins

this one runs good, appears to be pressure lubed since it has a filter, it's not drawing fuel from the tank so i assume bad pump, unless the fuel lines are so bad they have closed up completely, which we have seen before, we're going to run a line to the carb and gravity feed it to be sure the carb is good, it does start and run by bottle feeding it, i don't like the newer kohlers, but the magnums and the old K series were good engines in my experience

The magnums in my mind are more or less bombproof.
i made a deal today that will get the wizard i was referring too and a zero turn plus cash, i need the cash to fix my sewer line but the wizard will be give us the parts we need for the yard pro and the zero turn will be fixed and sold this spring,

what parts are you interested in? and you do realize how far i am from you right, i'll talk to my brother, but he seems to want to use the yard pro as parts and fix up the wizard because of the metal hood, the yard pro hood is plastic but the engines and transaxles are already spoken for

Oh I forgot to ask if y'all would be willing to ship. That's the only way I could do it. I just need some body parts like the shifter plate (the one with the shift pattern labels) and things of that sort for my Wizard GT. Obviously not important parts so if we can't work anything out it's not like it's stopping me from finishing a project or anything.

the labels are worn off on both but if that's not an issue i'm sure we can work something out on something like that, the ship anything boxes are cheap enough, if you was wanting the axles or something big like that it might be a different story

well my brother offered $40 for it and he accepted, so the wizard gt is now ours, we just need to wait until the weather clears to go get it, right now it's sleeting, snowing and freezing rain all mixed making driving in it hazardous

yeah i hate it too, i don't mind driving in snow, been doing it for 25+ years, but freezing rain on top of it makes it dangerous even if you drive a 4wd , it's great for doing donuts with the mud mower though

don't know when we'll be able to get it, there's about a half inch of ice covered snow out there atm, and getting back to where we need to get to pick it up won't be easy in the current conditions, even with my truck being 4wd, my brother wants to try to get it tomorrow but i don't know if we'll be able to

we got the wizard home, it's till in the back of my truck atm, and it seems like the transaxle is froze up, but we'll have to see when we can get it out of the truck and where we can work on it, if it is and we can't get it unstuck in the tractor, we'll swap in the one from the red one and i'll pull this one apart, it's got a 20hp vanguard v twin that's not stuck and someone put a swiveling boat seat on it which we'll either be pulling of completely or modifying so it doesn't swivel any more
