Wheel Horse 857 new project

Well I just picked up something new but not sure what to do with it yet. Carburetor is soaking and I ordered a new gasket set for it so I can get it running on Friday hopefully. But after it's running is up in the air.
The previous owner practically rebuilt this tractor but never used it. All belts, blades, wiring, switches and cables are new, the looked new but already cracked. The carb was rebuilt at the time but the blades were frozen and the had inside was green...

I'm scared for it because it is pretty nice but not perfect and I it is complete. I'm not by any means a purist, I will cut this thing up at first chance but at the same time I might feel guilty about that in this puppy.
