Little update on this thread since it's been a while. Obviously the Bolens ended up getting a Yanmar diesel conversion and has been working great:
I'll have to update that thread later, but she's a real nice machine!
Aaaannnd I guess I'll count this as a garden tractor, because it is technically classified as one.
Husqvarna GT2254. Has the 122 series 6-speed trans and a Briggs ELS 22hp V-twin. Runs but needs a carb rebuild (as they all do, haha.) I got the 54" deck with it but it needs some work. I was planning on keeping it around for some reason, but I actually have someone who wants to buy it so I will eventually end up fixing it and selling it off.
Lastly, I was officially a member of the Diesel Sears Club for a short while! Never thought I would say that....
Check out this winner
Not sure of the model, but it had a 4hp Yanmar in it! Really ot a bad little tractor all the jerry-rigging aside, haha. I had it running and driving for a little bit but I really only bought it for the diesel, so I ended up removing it and selling the tractor to my cousin.
But anyways, that's about all that's new with the ol' tractor collection. Although here might be some more toys coming home with me here soon, if it works out I'll be sure to post another update!

Husqvarna shouldn't be much different than a craftsman GT6000. Looks to be in nice shape. That sears looked to be a custom. Good score on the engine, don't blame ya selling the tractor. I'm more of a Suburban guy myself. :-)
Excited to see what other toys you may bring home!

Yeah it's the same idea as a GT6000. It's even more top heavy though if that's possible, haha. Take a corner in third hi at full throttle and one rear wheel would come off the ground.
The Sears was actually a nice little tractor, bit since the hood and grille were missing I wasn't all that interested.

You're darn right!
I definitely kept an eye on that bugger when it was on the trailer, just waiting for it to fly off, hahaha.

Well fellas, this weekend I finally did something I've been wanting to do for a while now, involving my Cub Cadet 106:
Yessir, a pull behing mower deck! I've pretty much been wanting to do this since I got the Cub, being that it has the rear PTO. The deck is from an old Walker mower, it is completely shaft driven so I figured it'd be the perfect candidate for this build.
Pretty simple setup as you can see, I used half of the original shaft and slider from the Walker, and half of a 540 spline PTO shaft from an old spreader. Then the tounge is pretty straight forward. I welded it to the upper frame of the deck so that I can still use the factory height adjustment pins.
It does work pretty good too! It's a little on the slow side however, so I'm planning on adding a jack shaft right next to the main gearbox and running a chain and sprockets to speed it up a bit. Hopefully that fixes it.
Anyways I figured I'd show this in here, I'm pretty happy to say I actually made work, haha. Let me know what you think.

Thanks mr mod. A side hill mower would be pretty handy to have.
Yeah the universals should be a lot happier with the jackshaft setup I imagine.
Anyways I mentioned a while ago that I was possibly bringing some more goodies home and a couple weeks ago I went and picked the stuff up that I was talking about.
Good ol' truck load of parts! Might be a K Series or two in there as well.
Then a couple tractors. One that I knew would run, and one in pretty rough shape:
First one is a real nice '72 Ford LGT 145 (has the wrong hood) This one used to be a grass cutter so I got the deck with it which is in great shape. All I had to do to get 'er to talk was drain the old gas, clean the carb bowl out, and shine up the points a bit. It runs and drives great but needs to be cleaned up a bit, also needs a seat but I have an original Ford seat for it. It's pretty much the same as my LGT 125 but it has the K321 engine and hydraulic attachment lift.
This ol girl is a rough one for sure, but I'm pretty sure it is an Ariens S12. I always wanted one of these tractors and this was something that was more or less throw in with the deal. I have the engine that came from it so it is actually fairly complete minus the body panels, but it would take a lot of TLC to make this one work again. However I would like to give it a try because these are awesome machines. We'll see what happens!
So that was the stuff I planned to buy, but of course as I was gathering the stuff I spotted some other treasures so I brought home a couple extras:
First is this real neat two gang disk like you would buy at TSC or what have you
Pulls nicely behind the diesel Bolens and I had it behind my Case for a little while too.
Lastly are these threes beauties, not exactly tractor related but still:
More for that colletion too!
So anyhow, that's the latest haul. I'm pretty happy with this one I shouldn't run short of projects anytime soon, haha. Let me know what ya think!

Looks like a pretty darn good haul there! Them K-Series are hard to come by around here. I reckon everyone that has one uses it, cant say I blame them though them K-Series are hard to beat! Always good to have a few or 12!
Side note: My father has that same Homelite chain saw!

Well fellas, today I finally added another Cub Cadet to the collection. Another narrow frame at that!
There she be. Unsure of the year yet, but she's a 124 with the 482U111 mower deck on it. It's a very complete, straight little tractor, but here's the main reason I wanted to buy it:
Yep, another PTO shaft! I now have two Cubs with the rare rear PTO option. I felt pretty special having one This one even has the internal brake as well.
Unfortunately the engine does appear to have a broken connecting rod, so it won't be running for a little while, but that's okay. If the crank isn't damaged it will be an easy fix, but we shall see what I get into. I have an M16 on my bench that has to be finished up first, but I will get this one tore down at some point.
Either way I though it was a pretty awesome find, I'm quite happy!

Another new addition to the collection a little while ago:
Really nice Wheel Horse 500 Special with a good cutting deck. It had a big Honda clone in it when I bought it, but I got a little K181 Kohler with it so obviously I put the Kohler in and got it running. Didn't take much to do it, and it runs great.
The tractor sat outside a lot so it needs a good washing, but it is super straight and very complete. Still even has the original Wheel Horse seat:
The rear discharge deck has a couple small rotted spots, but overall it is in real nice shape and works good:
Has a good set of blades on it and cuts grass beautifully, I'm quite happy with it.
This old girl is definitely one of my favorite tractors so far.

Shweet! That looks just like my 700 Work Horse. Same steering wheel, instrument panel and removable head light bezel thing. I have a deck for mine but its not in that good of shape. Nice find!

Thanks Blake. I really like that little tractor, thinking about using it as the main grass cutter this year.
Anyhow I got a couple more tractors so I figured I would update the thread.
First is another Allis B-110. This one has been painted a different colour so it isn't quite as nice as my other B-110, but it runs and drives great.
I actually ended up doing something with this one I've always wanted to try, and that is make a rear PTO winch!
So this is officially "The Winch Tractor" now, haha. Pretty happy with how it turned out, it really works good. I made a video about it too if anyone wants to know more about it.
Then my most recent tractor is a White (MTD) GT-1650 Yard Boss:
It's quite a beast! Same at the big MTD 990's but different hood and grille. Has a 32 series cast iron Briggs which a 16hp unit. I got a mower deck, dozer blade, and tire chains with it, and it has a 3 point hitch on the rear too which is nice. I've used it a whole lot since I got it, definitely a nice machine.
That's all for now, thanks for looking.

Cool finds! Those whites were awesome, I’ve drug 800 lb trees up a hill in high gear (feathering the hydro though as disclaimer, forgot to put her in low) but she did it and was not minding it one bit. I’ve had mine blow 2 1/2 feet of snow without complaint too. Won’t jack your thread though, congrats on the new rigs!
You might need a bigger barn the way you’re going

I just ran real hard on my stock mtd troy bilt and stock minus tires and lights john deere. Both did well the troy bilts grill broke a little and the front end started falling i have to fix that, but the snappers are parts mower really, the craftsman has a later model motor than stock and is pretty rare.

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with how the winch turned out.
Yeah the colour's not too bad really, even though it's not right. At least they put Allis decals on it, haha.

Been meaning to post this for a while, but I managed to get my Cub Cadet 124 put back together with a donor engine block. I thought the rod was broke but upon disassembly I found that the piston had broken into pieces. Would've been an easy fix but I checked the ring end gap with a new ring and it was way out of spec, which meant it needed bored out. So rather than do that I took a good K301 engine out of a wide frame Cub and converted it to a narrow frame engine.
She runs!
Clutch and transmission work good, as well as the rear PTO. Everything is in nice working order on the ol' girl. I might get the origial block bored out someday and rebuild it, we'll see. Either way I'm happy!
Official have two running narrow frames now. Wouldn't mind another one either..

Well hello again everyrone. Been a while, but I wanted to share my latest addition to the tractor collection.
Not %100 sure on the year of this one, but it's a Ford 120! Has a Kohler K301 rated at 12hp and a Hydro-Gear hydrostatic transmission turning a Peerless final drive. It also has the belt powered hydralic lift pump as you can see, which is a real cool option for these!
I bought this one for a good price with a mower deck, snowthrower, and rear weight box. It did run, but needed a valve job badly and the points adjusted. So a little bit of time into this one to get it running good, but it was well worth it! Real great old tractor to use.
Also I might as well throw up some tractor action shots, just for proof that I haven't gotten out of the tractor game during my absence
So yeah, apologies for not being around lately fellas.. Dunno if I just got burnt out for a while or what, but the tractor building hasn't really been going on much around here so I stopped updating. Gonna have to get back into 'er though and make an effort to come around more often!
Thanks for checkin out the thread.
