Mow Money Mini Boat

Gday to all, Just thought I would share some piccy's of one of the projects that has kept me busy while I have been absent, this little boat I built using the stitch and glue method, design was of my own and is a hair under 5 feet long, it is powered by an electric trolling motor, at the moment, lol, great little cruiser for those lazy summer days and a blast to build. It is pictured here having it's first float test in a pool I bought just for the occasion, hahaha

There are more plans for the future, but first is to finish the Murray with Mow name and build a trailer for the boat to go behind it.

Thats pretty neat.

I recall seeing somewhere, little boats like that with say, built 5hp briggs or Honda clones and boy did did they fly across the water.

I have seen them also, I have also seen some similar size running outboards, I am not sure which way to go yet but eventually faster is the goal,lol

That's pretty neat i didn't even know this was a thing ! guess i'll have to youtube it. i'm sure there's some good videos on this.

It's a thing alright, it's a community, lol, facebook page also. American boathead is the youtube page that sparked my interest in this venture.

cheers, that's the biggest issue with repowering it, I have a couple of options floating around in my head, I want to keep it eleccy and light also which is the challenge in such a small package.

no it wasn't intentional, hahaha, I will have to get some video of it, it has been a while since I have posted video's and need to sort out sound issues also from memory. Technology and I are not good friends.

I guess you could add another trolling motor so they are side by side. That might add a bit more bite to it. Pretty cool little machine, came out nice. I've seen a few of those online before. For something with ridiculous power, maybe built one 2 or 3 times that size and then stuff a jet ski engine into it or something along those lines.
