I heavily reinforced its frame 1 year ago:





Plans:
-14HP Vanguard
-Peerless 930 Oil Converted Open Diff
-Turfs for now, 22x12x8 Bearclaws & 16x6,5x8 for when I have Money
-3:2 Pulley Swap
-LED Lights
-Dynamark rear fenders
-front Fenders
-custom Exhaust
-trailer Hitch
-repaint
-custom Shifter
-Trying to reuse as much parts I already have instead to buy stuff
-front Bumper
-maybe throwing a snow plow on it

I want to go Budget Build on it since Im pretty low on cash currently & need a good Mower ASAP!

I kinda want big Tires, & the BearClaws R cheaper than Mud Lites, but i'm not sure if my 930 with open diff will be able to handle them well...

What's your Opinions & experiences?

Doc lock it and don't do too many clutch dumps and it'll handle mudlights.

Although I wouldn't hold off on clutch dumps myself as i can get msts and 900s $5 apiece

Can you not find a piece of ¾" keyed crs? You have no metal suppliers up there?

Ive only found metric sized round stock but thats no hardened axle & has no keyway....
I could turn it down but the keyway & hardening process would fail @ me

They don't need to be hardened. No axle shaft i have is. Keyways can be cut with angle grinder and a steady hand and some layout

FINALLY GOT PROGRESS ON IT!!

I took the angle grinder out & prepped the frame 4 paint





then I primed it



& threw underbody protection on the underside of that Frame





gonna let it dry & then paint the good side

I originally wanted to cut a big hole in the rear of the frame to get good access to the trans but realized that wont work when I want to use the stock clutch & decided to just drill few big access holes in the frame to be able to pull the clip that holds the pulley on & maintain the fill/drain hole

Now you'll never notice those sickening welds!!!

Try to weld 8mm flat stock with 3mm frame together with a cheap ass welder & 2,5mm welding rods!

It were extremely hard to get the welds there cuz the welds wanted to only stick to 1 piece of metal & I had to weld the same spot 3-4 times smtms to get it a good hard weld!

IKR it doesnt change the fact that my welds & welding skills suck, but it holds & thats what matters LOL

Right. I was restating what you've always said. Besides, as long as it holds. And I never thought those welds were bad, I was just going along with everyone else. (I don't even know how to weld )

yeah my welds suck, my skills as well, but as long as the final product (MUD MURRAY) is a reliable woods rig, nothing to complain LOL

PAINTING TIME!!

I felt horrible today after i was home from work but since the Work @ home is piling up on me I decided to still do something to my stuff & that was PAINTING!

Threw the 1st coat on the Frame:





& on the other parts as well (prolly leave them with just 1 coat)







I really like the black dashboard & guess when I have the stainless piece on it it will look badass!

Gonna buy the CAMO PAINT soon to make it SEXY!

Ran outta black paint as well cuz these were the leftovers from CrapTD (2018 Build Off) & have to buy new stuff to get it on the trails AFAP!

I like that black. Did you ever think about painting the whole thing black?

I Wont paint it black cuz every1 paints his stuff black & I'm just tired of seeing black mowers everywhere... & when I paint my main rig BLACK it will be bad!
