Always a good feeling to finally get to use something you have been building for a while! She's a beauty. I know you are finishing up. Just let us know when you are complete and have your walk around video!
Great Job.

Back out in the shop today to add a little more to this build. Made a cover to cover up the cut out in the frame that i guess the original cover slide into. Made a drink holder and can also set you phone next to it without it sliding off. I covered the top in grip tape.
This is the original exhaust shield to the motor. Took about 2 hours to get the circle cut. looks almost factory to me
Fourth pic down got my boy out there helping me. Lol hes probably touched just as many nuts and bolts on this thing as me
Took the dremal and cut these notches bet the over and ground them out
Today was a good day. I rode the Murray for about 1hr only two things came up. One the throttle cable came lose where it clamps down by the engine only need to tighten the bolt back down so no biggie the other thing is I was getting belt slip in higher gears. Come to find out that the shift lever was bulling the belt away from the pulley so also got that fixed up. She is getting more and more refined each ride. I have one more thing to do and its in the mail then i will wrap this build off up. Also have been taking video so will have some sort of that coming out. Never really put a video together so we will see.
Here are pics of the shifter fix and also a pic of it all washed up after a good ride
All clean

More progress today. Got the one slider finished up looks alot better with the 45 angle and being capped off. I have about 3 1/2 hours in this one piece but happy with the look now. Also bought my 1st piece of steel for this project some 1/8th flat bar to cap it all off,all the other steel was reused from something or another

Thanks its more of a guard but is strong enough for a step.
Chipped away at this thing a little more today. And decided to redo the clutch I got tired of the stock modified clutch not working the way I wanted so built a new double clutch and got the retainers on there as well.
Also lengthend the shift lever and welded on some threads for a shift knob. Its crazy how much time these small things eat up.
New shift lever and knob. Looks and will feel so much better

She is all done guys. My dad helped with putting together the video. All was shot with cell phones so some of the footage is not the best but did the best possibe with it. Next year will get a real camera. All in all im very happy with the outcome of this build. Learned alot and also my 1st real time with a stick welder! This was a long time coming for me. 1st years attempt we had twin so had to ditch that one. Then the Next year wife went into heart failure. She is doing good now. Then last year I screwed my hand up real bad and had to sell. Feels so nice to finish this time around well here is my video
