Looking good! The honda hood kinda has a cool look with the grill smashed up for some reason. That's a nice one to hang from the ceiling lol.

Looking good. The lift setup looks beefy enough to me. Should be pretty good.

If I have the time, I want to throw some skid plates on which will stiffen everything up even more, and add some protection.

Clutch and gas pedals in progress!
Thinking of using the parking brake handle on the fender as a brake, so the clutch pedal will remain only a clutch. Lots of trial and error to get the clutch linkage to fit in the frame and above the steering arm correctly, but I'm very satisfied with it now. Gas pedal slides over the 1/2 clutch rod and will have some lock collars on it. Minor things like a return spring and a bracket to stop the gas pedal at a point will be added soon!

Clutch and gas pedals/linkages are 99% complete. Need to drill to holes on some linkages to act as "pins" to solidly connecting some parts. Next up will be the belt fitting.

Clutch is done, disengages beautifully! Working a little bit on the carb mount, steering and transaxle shiftier. Got the transaxle rod that ties the two transaxles together complete.

Looking good! More heim joints on the clutch linkage would take some slop out, plus they won't wear like the bolt connections you have will.

Defiantly would take the slop out. I might have a few left over and could add some to the clutch.

Got the carb mounted up, water in the system, and everything else hooked up for a test run tonight.
Put power to the starter, took a few seconds, bam, it fired! But only 1 time, died immediately after. Attempted to start it again, a few seconds later, it fired for once again, 1 time. I came to the conclusion the timing was off, after check spark and fuel. Sure enough I was right, timing actually got off each revolution. Long story short, mice dumpings had packed their way into the crankshaft timing pulley, jamming the slots. That threw the timing off each revolution, and every couple revolutions, the timing would be perfect, fire, then get off timed.

The timing belt also has a fair amount of slop in it from age. It would be my best bet to replace it now, but it might be hard to get. Might pay a pretty penny online to get it here fast, or see if any Honda equipment have the lucky number I need.

Got it all back together and running!!
I guess the water pump slides to change the belt tension, which is a smart idea. Got the crankshaft timing belt pulley cleaned, put the belt back on and it didn't take nothing to fire up! Another thing I was surprised at was the fuel pump. The carb I'm running, which I've ran a few in the past, do not like having too much fuel pressure, like anything over 1-2 PSI. Thankfully, the stock Honda fuel pump never flooded it.

Looks nice with the new tires. Where'd you get your pedals at? They look pretty cool and I was thinking of finding some like that for my new build.

Also got the front transaxle bracing complete (ish), left it somewhat incomplete so I can get a bumper (and LED's?) on it sometime. Woulda been nice to have it completed, but gotta get er driving first. And the front transaxle is all locked up (2 extra spider gears to lock it) and put together. Steering is going to be simple, will use the stock arms and rod that goes thru the transaxle case. Then will have a custom arm with a custom link going to the stock sector gear arm.

Also, surprisingly the tires fit just fine flipped in, which will make it look a bit better and keep less stress on the knuckles.

Looks awesome that’s a big plus to running the factory rim and hub set up, I Hated the massive Difference between the front and rear width on mine, but I converted the front to be able to use 3/4 keyed wheels. I’m digging it with yours flipped in

Got the steering and shiftier ALMOST done, the shiftier needs a small amount of adjusting. Hooked the overwhelming wiring harness up, battery, and it fired right up, Like any Honda! Tested it out mainly in 1st because I didn't expect the belt to slip so much, but sometimes popped it into 2nd. I think I was hitting about 10 MPH in 2nd gear around 4000 RPMs, anyways it felt fast. And the 2 cylinder actually had some pull too!
