Picked up a couple of parts atvs. This moto4 really has my attention. Those 34 year old 22x12x8 wooly boogers actually hold air even though there dry rotted. I'm thinking of mounting them to the rims on Southern States. #BuildingOnABudget

@RichieRichOverdrive you got that right lol. They read 23x11x8 on the tape measure even though there 22x12x8. If I air them down a little bit for traction they will read 22x12x8. I agree. Those fronts are a perfect size for fronts. If you go to my Jacobsen thread I'm running these front and rear rims on it. I have the tires and tire size I'll be running on them on there as well.

Finally busted the bead on the wooly boogers. I've ran the truck up on them a bunch for hours and more than one day. The key for rusted up beads is spray WD40 and pop it separates. We removed the tool box and I had forgot how cheezy I built the rear rack wheelie bar a year and 2 months ago. Non pressure treated wood in the weather is a no go lol. She wanted something more beefy. We dug in to the scrap and decided to just use the front bumper and front rack from the '86 Yamaha Moto4 200. Its different but it will do. Tool box isn't going to bolted in there because the compartment will do the job. May close in the bottom for storage as well.

Worked on a engine swap today. 18.5hp Briggs Intec to a 15hp Kohler Pro. Wiring was completely different and the angle of the throttle cable was completely different so had to put on a longer one. Had to notch the frame to clear the original muffler exhaust pipe for this kohler engine. Also had some clearance issues with the muffler so busted out the hammer lol. And yes I did clean up the notch wi th h the grinder afterwards. Forgot to take pic of it and the after new engine was on.

I need to finish this up this week with the wiring and maybe take the front axle to the votech with me and weld her up. She looks pretty ugly in general but looks extremely hideous with the 20" rear. Stinks I had to rob the 22" for the wards. Hate to say it but I'm proud not being the owner of this thing. Sis needs to slap some new paint on it or something.

Back working on this turd again. Been over a year since it was usable. Time for a revamp. Will be doing a cast iron axle swap from a husqvarna LGT2554 with 8" rims with the bearings in them, swapping in a 20hp tecumseh vtwin out of my grandfathers old yard machine, throwing the 22x12x8 Wooley Boggers back on the rear, big seat upgrade, redoing all the wiring from key switch to push button start, may do paint while at it, and maybe a pulley swap.

Should have some "get'n go" now! You won't regret the front axle swap. I don't care what anybody says, those stamped steel Craftsman axles are a pile.
Yup Her Cooper lol Yeah very happy it worked. Now steering needs beefed up. I've seen there stamped steel axle bust on a grass cutter before so how do people expect them to hold up in the woods? You can weld all you want on it. There junk forsure.

Here's the progress so far Man it sits nice and high but feels low. Then front rims with bearings made yhem 20x8x8 kenda turfs look good. Lot narrower then before with a rear rim on the front. Stocked about the cast iron axle swap. Shouldn't bust this time. Shes got no money for a Pulley swap but enough for paint. Goal is to black out everything. Needs the Transaxle Brace mounted and a front bumper. Gas pedal needs hooked up and wiring done and should be good to go.

Something got painted the other night Its no longer the colorful junk yard build. Meet [Neighborhood Watch 3.0] my sister's tractor. Pulled a all-nighter getting it done. Ran out of black for the muffler heat shield and the inside of the hood. Once the inner hood get a coat of paint ill throw some blue accents on it and the rest if the body to brake up all that black. It a '03 Southern States AYP tractor with a Yard Machine hood. Big fan of them hood. I'm surprised how it turned out due to it being very cold last night. The heater couldn't keep up so it got unplugged and said heck with it. Has a 25horse Kohler vtwin. Next project will be to weld up a winch bumper. Started this build November 2018. Its been changed so many times over the years and to many engine swaps. 3 Briggs Intecs 17.5-18.5hp, 1 Kohler Command single cylinder 15hp, a Tecumseh 20hp vtwin, and now the 25hp Kohler vtwin.
This one is here to stay. Yes its a Courage. Not a Command. Don't have to point that out. LOL! Ghey hold up good. The Courage single cylinder twin cam junk is what you need to watch out for. This motor is a '09 that did not receive any maintenance over the years. Original plugs, air filter, fuel filter, and oil. You could tell it was under powered. After a full tune up, carb cleaned , and new fuel pump she it like brand new. I wasn't able to get alot of footage due to she busted the bead on one if the tires. I burned my belt up pretty bad in my wards going to get a tow strap. The recon has a bad battery so had to be jumped but died in the woods later. Was a great day. After I clean the bead will get out there again to finish the video.
