IMAO that would look kinda stupid and then I have to build tons of Exhaust pipes. What's about painting it like the K30 I showed U in our Chat?

Are you gonna be doing solid axle or independent? I just want to reinforce the stock front axle. I want to keep the stock pivoting point, but mod the axle mount, so I have a slot hole that has 2" travel up down or so. And I will put shocks from a old junky scooter I have since 3 years, trying to fix, but lost motivation and that POS isn't worth anything, so the parts are way more worth, when I can use them. Then putting the shocks on, so they have consistant downward pressure on the pivoting point, to keep the axle handling normal. When I now drive faster over stones and stuff, I still have the pivoting point, but still be able to have some travel. Or is that Idea 1000% JUNK?

| It would work I suppose, but I bet it'd wear out pretty fast and be a pretty loose setup causing steering slop and what not.
Probably be better off fabbing up a nice multi-link setup. It'd be much more reliable. Ugggg! then I probably have lost! when no one can give me a idea how to build a suspension that uses the stock front axle so I dont need to mod the steering and stuff, it will stay as a regulyr just pivoting axle, whyt would be really boring and the Widebody deserves much more! I'm just too stupid to figure something out, and kinda bit allergic to work right now LOL

| have you thought about using a leaf spring? something off a small trailer or older snowmobile, you could mount them in either a transverse style or 2 parallel like on a truck, they would give you plenty of flex and still keep the axle solidly mounted, you could even use the shocks from that scooter on it maybe take off the springs if they have them, otherwise would probably be to stiff, and you shouldn't need to mod the steering much if at all. | |

good idea it just seems like the easiest solution to what you want to do, leaf springs have been on everything with a solid axle ever build, from horse drawn buggies to high power 4x4s and dragsters, and if it's to stiff you can remove some of the leaves to soften them up, the only mods you might have to make is lengthening you frame for the front mounts of the leaf spring if you use a parallel set, if you choose a transverse leaf look up the ford model T, it used one and it worked great.

| I plowed snow with my MTD a long long time ago with weight on the rear and it plowed quite a bit. Never hurt the frame, so I'm sure he'll be fine. That's why I want to reinforce the frame with some box steel, cuz I want this Widebody to last, even when I beat on it - AllisKidD21 wrote:

I hope for my MTD, cuz I can't reinforce anything there, if I want to keep the deck stuff.

| 2K19 should be the Year of this build!! I plan on building it this year, and maybe entering it into the Build-Off. It should be a reliable trail and work mower that can haul heavy Crap and plow, and makes lots of fun driving it and pissing off the neighbors with the Exhaust! Maybe a Engine Change will happen, not sure at this time! | |

| Well, I plan on entering this Years Build-Off with this POS, but in the last few Years, Months, Weeks, Days, Hours, Minutes, Seconds,....... I got pissed off from the most work I did as my old hobbies, like botching on some old ****** push mowers, making dumb stuff,... wasting Money into useless parts,.... and it tries RN to kill the mower stuff too... With that being said IDK how the Future will go for my mower crap stuff, time will tell............ Just that nobody is wondering why the Threads R dead. | |

| All the treads are pretty dead right now. Plenty of time between now and Nov 30th. New build-off info will be uploaded Friday "Eastern Time- US" sometime.
Good luck man! | |

| @SebastianAlbrechtJust some words of advice here. Build a tractor for YOU. Build a tractor the way you want and can reasonably do with your parts, skills, and money. Don't just build something because it's popular or other people are telling you to do it that way because your heart won't be in it. I love Ol' Red. I didn't start building it because of some specific internet video. I instantly fell in love with it at the scrap yard and I've been building it to my own vision with the support and guidance of ATLTF members. What kind of tractor do you dream of having? Maybe you're murray could turn into that. | |

Those are some VERY GOOD words of wisdom. Also, if you try to build what others like.... you will burn out faster and will just walk away. We like having you around.

Thank U for all your good Advices! I want a nice sounding, reliable, plenty fast Mower that can make lots of fun and handle the woods without problems, and will also be able to do good work in the garden (the Mud Murray 4X4) this thing I wanted to build to a Trail Mower that can also go plowing when it needs to... ATM my environment in Germany is pulling me down like crazy and the shop is a whole mess.... No Money to work with, missing some parts,.... I'm still hoping the Spring and Summer will give me some motivation back, so I wo'nt be pissed off right after entering the shop for 10 secs. - MightyRaze wrote:

Yeah, I kinda see that, work is piling up everywhere, running low on time, some people tell U to do this and that and this with your stuff,.... and the results R what happens since over 1 year and seems to elevate from week to week and has gotten this high RN... Pressure from all sides.... THANKS TO ALL YOU GUYS SUPPORT HERE!!! Would Prolly fell down way more without!
