Murray Widebody Lawn Tractor

Ok, so I put a ,,Search Junk Mowers" AD on, and 1 Week later a Guy said, he has a Murray with blown Engine.


I looked for long for a Widebody, but they're really expensive and rare in my Area. This was my Chance!

It has gotten new tires last year.

Yeah, My Dad said, NO MORE MOWERS!!!! , But once I told him the price, he was surprised how Cheap it was, and asked me, if I want to get it today. I said YES!!!!!!!

We drove to the seller, and we put it again in our Car, every time the sellers think, the mowers wouldn't fit in there, but they do every time. We just pulled off the seat, steering wheel, and the rear tires.

So, here it is unloaded at home:















This is the begin of another Build! But I just have no Ideas, what i should build outta it. I just knew, I will build NO FearlessFront Murray Widebody Copy!!!!!!!!!

So please vote, what i should build outta it!

Nice score. I would build a low cost trail machine pulley swapped to 20-25mph and maybe with smaller tyres to lower the centre of gravity. Sell the deck and bagger to make some money.

Sounds cool!

Take a look at stretches and therainbowboxer’s machines. Look around on YouTube and the forum and see how they’re built. The basic idea is lower the center of gravity, reinforce the frame a TON, lock the rear end, and an internal gearing change. Just the final drive. Then run some 1:1 pulleys and you have a machine safely capable of roughly 50 miles per hour...like 80kph I think

What tranny is in it?

Yah, I don't think that hole next to the starter is suppose to be there, LOL.

I wouldn't build a FF copy, but I would take a few of his tricks.
I would put thin ags on the rear, put a v-twin on it, big pulley swap, 25ish, snorkel, dual pulley-clutch (the stock Murray clutches are junk), maybe doc lock it if need be, and I'd paint it an aggressive bright red.

Looks nice.  That blue looks the same as Kal's!  Very nice.  I like the Blue/Black combo.

Also, I think an off roader and trail machine may be the same?

Please don't make another Fearlessfront clone. Please don't make this even reminiscent of Fearlessfront's murray.

I will look. Frame Reinforcement is a Must Have! How I can gearing swap the MST? AFAIK I ca'nt swap the gear from the shift shaft to the shaft that goes to the bull gear. This reduction needed to be modded, but I do'nt think that's possible without hacking up anything.

Wide Rear tires look always best. if I can get another vanguard... maybe. Dual clutch I want to make for all my mowers, DOC LOCKER is a Must Have, Red, IDK

I like the Combo too! maybe I will repaint it the same colours.

I said in BIG RED LETTERS: NO FEARLESSFRONT MURRAY WIDEBODY COPY! His Murray is cool, but if it was mine, I would chage lots of things. Thanks.

I want thousand Vanguards, but they're expensive!

One I got for 50 bucks, the other I got for free as part of the trade

One is an 18 horse, missing the shroud, good compression and should run. The other is a complete 16 horse that has no compression. Needs a rebuild and I’ll probably put some goodies in it whenever I rebuild it

No problem man! I like it to see someone posting in my threads, they're normally mostly dead.

I’ve got a question though, does your computer translate everything to German for you, and you reply in German? Does the site show up in English and you use google translate? Or are you learning English well enough to read and respond in English?

I run ATLTF 100% English. I just tried the language setting, but then it messes up german and english. Maybe setting my Computer and Phone to English too. IDK. I reply and read everything in english, only something that's way too complicated for my tiny brain, I use the translator.
