| Beal: This was a video of putting the tires on. He hasn't shown any progress beyond his pictures.
Doc: You are talking Fender swap? Yanmar ones from the mule reboot? You have a square fender back there in the pile? Also maybe an older style running foot board would work but I think all the suburbans you had were the newer style? Always enjoy the video's. Kick back and enjoy a cold one while you can, next week starts too quickly.

Likely. I wasn't overly keen on having racks on my machines at first, but after doing some group romps and having to carry around everything from cameras to food and drinks, the need was proven. I want this rig to be able to sub in for any of my other trail rigs, so I have the option to just pick whatever I want to drive for the day- and therefore I believe I will.

Very cool, after seeing your post, I was already imagining it. Also, I am with you on the rack idea. I've been against it, but I have considered it on my build. I have the materials to do one. I'll get some more welding practice in by that time.

Err, rather wanting to know if he had to massage the fenders to clear the tires at all.

| Mockup shot, fender from an old Yanmar 135D compact tractor. I like it. I may trim a couple inches off the back but not too much. I don't want to kill look. The handles are a really nice option as well, for reversing and wacky off-camber stuff, too. Hopefully I can get them done this weekend. Progress on anything is slow right now. I've been getting killed at work lately- no energy when i get home. | |

Nice on the foot board trim too. Looks like the one on my ST/16 now without the flare for the fender.

| Those fenders are looking nice Doc. Doesn't look like you would have much of any mud spray from them. Already have handles. I am curious of what you are planning back there between the fenders. You are pretty creative with your ideas. | |

| A little light duty screwing around today. I didn't have much time but i wanted to start playing around with another trademark muffler idea of mine. Every time I build a new exhaust system, it's an experiment. Pics show the little 1 gallon compressor before I tore it apart, helping the paint off with a torch, and the concept. It's an open chamber- no baffles or restrictions. The two outlet pipes will face outward and downward. Sitting on the tractor facing forward, I figure the pipes will be at 4:00 or so. I still have to plug the extra holes, build the header pipe, and mount everything with a brace. High heat paint, too. Idid already fabricate the port flange. This oughta look neat. Of course, it will lay horizontally in the factory exhaust cutout in the hood side. | |

| Somewhere (lol), I have the remaining VHT paint from building Suburban Commando's muffler. I suspect I'll find Amelia Earhartd first. Anyway, my latest homebrew exhaust is done, including a support rod. It sounds pretty good, but not as good as Fugazi. Nothing will ever sound as good as Fugazi. Ever. If it was any closer to earn porn, unprotected listening would cause hearing aids! HAHAHAHAA It's a tad hard to tell but the outlet pipes not only point backward at a 30* angle, they also point down at about 45* | |

| I notice now the fenders are wider than the footboards. If that bothers me, I KNOW it has to bother you lol, so how do you plan on fixing that? Widening the footboards or adding in a little triangle piece that will die the bodyline together better or ?
Exhaust looks awesome too. Would probably sound better on a v-twin. I love singles, but the sound just isn’t there

I dunno yet. I was staring at that awhile and hadn't yet made up my mind. - CraftsmanQuad19 wrote:
