It's 12.5" on the inside Ill have to make sure it doesn't contact the front axle.

Can't get that frame space on a Murray! Another reason I love craftsmans.

Well I think I'm gonna pick it up, kinda running out of options.

I cut the front axle at an angle today. That will give it about



10 degrees of KPI. I figured out how I'm gonna mount the axle. I was gonna cut out a section of the frame and drop it in but I decided against that because the frame would be ridiculously tilted. It already has the nose several inches lower than the rear. I won't add any camber but I am not sure how much caster I should put on the front axle when I decide to weld it in.

I'd say 8° caster, max. Setting up a drag link can be a complete sh*t show if you go much further. At least if you're set up like mutt is.

Caster and KPI is always measured off of 90°.

I would say the ground then if the frame is going to always stay tipped like it is now. Unless you plan on changing the angle of the frame soon, then you'd account for that. Braces look pretty nice. Heavy duty.

Yes they do. I want this thing solid so it doesn't break when i'm doing 40. I think I will make the king pin parallel to the axle and add 8* or so positive caster. Thanks guys.

Made the king pin holder things haha, now I just need to weld them on. I used the bolts I was going to uuse for the axles but these will work for both so I just need to buy more. Also tacked the axle in place in case I need to mod it. This tractor is a lot higher than I would have liked but that's ok I guess, not much I can do now. And I wanted the frame fairly level.

Looks pretty neat so far, looking forward to seeing the final stance. What size are those bolts? 3/4"?

I dunno... lifted would give more of a gasser look.  LOL

It would be funny looking and not too practical though, we'll say i'm just going for more of a Gasser look.

So the front axle is welded soild, just needs some mat black, but now I need to strt work on the steering. I think I will just go with direct steering to avoid further complictations. I have all the rod ends I will need I think, but now I need to fab up some tabs, set the angles, and weld them in.
