A9X By Dave 007 [2018 Build-Off Entry][Hold]

This is my Aussie Made Cox Lawn tractor.

Name of Project A9X

My Idea is to extend the chassis and steering and add a second engine.
I have done a photo shop pic to show the idea. There will be 2 x 12.5 hp briggs engines and I will have to extend all the body and make a new bonnet, also add a double pulley to connect the second engine as well as the controls and make a custom exhaust.

For the wheels and tyres I'm planning to use swamp fox .

I will update as the project moves along.

wow what a great entire response, fantastic effort everyone. good luck and best wishes to all. Looks like the competition is going to be a real battle of the best. As soon as my goodies arrive I will do YouTube video of the un boxing. looking forward to there arrival. I must say I'm still flabbergasted at the overwhelming support and getting 2nd place was all worth the effort. Now to knuckle down and get building. cheers.

Well today was a UM and ARR day, just sitting back looking and thinking. So many ideas I felt like my brain was going to explode, but in reality I think I have got it fairly well planned in my head. So my plan so far is to cut this ,cut that weld this, Oh no that's no good, cut it off then put it back on, I might add this but then will need to change that. Its all looking good in my head but we all know what we think is not always what happens. Ok now to pick up the tools and get into the A9X.

I'm going to have to use both of these lawn tractors to make my A9X, cut one in half and add it to the other, sounds simple but adding 2 engines and setting up steering and drive train is going to be tricky. Better stock up on grinding discs, hehehehe.

Maybe invest in a sawzaw and some steel blades. Cuts way faster and uses less blades. Worth a try for bigger spaces

Like too but on a budget , I got a 9inch grinder with cutting discs, should be ok, just have to wear safety gear and hold on tight. hehehehe.

I'm struggling at the moment money wise, hope to have it sorted soon. I normally do crop preparation as a driver, but my boss bought a big spreader machine so 3 of us are not needed this year, bummer. I'm sure things will be ok, something always shows up. The worry is lack of rain, no rain no work no money... that farming life I guess.

Farming is like that sadly, any cotton in your neck of the ,.... desserts? It's really taking off over here in Kansas and all of the grain prices are in the tank.

Yea Farming is a gamble, its been 90 days not a drop of rain, I got some temp work servicing trucks and tractors, some welding work just covering the bills, the farmers here are holding off because the cropping is nothing but a dust storm.... anyhow just need to keep it going.

Sorry all, I still haven't been able to get into my project, but it looks like I may have to do a last minute rush. I have been looking at the progress of the builds and its all looking fantastic. Keep it going you are all doing well. Cheers.

Up north they have floods drowning whole towns, Australia is extreme this year with crazy weather.
