well this is not what bounty hunter was built for but it did very well !! i built the rig im racing last year it has a 340 snowmobile engine with a 1 inch live axle , bounty hunter has a 670 predator and 1 inch live axle . we raced heads up and i smoked him before we got 20 feet . so i gave him 3 out and i guess you will see !!

well i started this rig as my oval racer for this year but my home town track canceled the races this year do to low spectator turn out !! with this rig and how i built it , it is mean and fast but not up to Parr for other tracks ,and also not set up for pavement . i had2 ways i could take this build after all that . #1 dump a bunch more cash in it and bring it up to Par for other tracks and make it a pavement racer or #2 as you can see by the pic's !! i went this rout do to the amount of money i already have in it and did not want to spend a ton more cash , this way cost me around $250 rather than another $1500 !! i built the new frame by hand and made it 6 feet long from front to back , i removed the front axle and flipped it back to the under side of the frame , rebuilt the steering , and threw some old tires on it to get the front back on the ground so i could make the rear live axle mounts and make the frame level !! from there me and 2 guys lifted the complete old chassis on to the new frame , i added spacer blocks where i needed to get the chassis sitting level , i did come across a complete set of 26 inch swamp lites pretty cheap and used 4 12 inch suburban rims to mount to the rig , i did have to add a new idler sprocket and longer chain , i did not like the look of the old hood and had a craftsman DYT 4000 hood laying out back and made what you see now !! she is a complete rig once again and its first pro bog is tomorrow at noon !! there will be video and picks of it running !! i know a lot of you wanted to see this rig in the oval but i could not afford to get it to there specs at the other tracks !! i built it this way because a lot of you like trail riding and mud bogging and i think you would like this version better !! I KNOW I DO !! im sorry if i let you down and all but i also hope you understand at the same time !!

Quite a change but still, the idea of having a powerful engine with a cvt has always madee wonder how it would handle in the mud as those cvts give out some insane torque and there's nothing to break unless the belt wears out. Looking forward to seeing in bog!

well its been some time since i posted any thing !! let me start by saying im sorry !! this year has been hell for me , any ways you all know i built bounty hunter as my oval racer for this year of racing , then the track canceled the races !! then i went ahead and raised it and built it for the mud , i had a few problems with it like tire fell off , broke a few things , bent the rear axle and so on , so i ended up tearing the engine out of it and built a killer wheel horse i named titan ( most have seen it on face book ) well i sold the wheel horse and kept my engine !! well at this i decided to rebuild my oval racer , i had the frame from bounty hunter and the engine , i had to order a new live axle and the parts for it as well , i tore bounty hunter down and started over !! as you see in the pics i did use the half breed mtd/craftsman chassis i built and added to it , new nerf bars , new rear axle , new belt for the 40 series cvt , new rear tires , redone the dash and added a volt gauge with new oil pressure gauge , tether kill , and moved the key switch to the dash with out the big box from the 670 !! added some diamond plate as well to the dash i had to redo the front axle - i junked the gt front axle and built my own for the 2nd time , i got this rig done and went for a test drive and she proceeded to destroy itself !! the torq from the 670 and the 40 series CVT was too much for the MTD tunnel !! it crushed like a beer can LOL so i went ahead and done what i should have from the start and added 1/4 inch flat steel to the frame !! now she is back on all 4rs running and driving , right now you are asking yourself why !! well when i lifted bounty hunter i thought that was going to be the end of the build but soon found out the big mistake i made doing so! i tore the rig up pretty bad and was pissed at my self . well as of today i now have my racer back to race at MY NEW TRACK this new year !! i have been able to land a deal to have my own track for the 2019 race season at my local fair grounds and to hold as many races as i want !! the sad part is i wont have a race video up in time for the end of this build off but this week end i will do a final video for this build and show what it is capable of !! as for the rig itself it is bounty hunters old frame with a new hood , new live axle , tweaked 670 , up graded the rear sprocket, all new dash and gauges , redesigned nerf bars , better tires for the rear , new paint and finally a new name !! LETHAL THREAT so at this point it is up to you to accept this build or pass it by !! for me i will say this - i have had a blast building this rig 3 different times , showing off my work to all of you , and driving this lil monster !! i joind this build off to show off my work , and what i can build with very lil tools !! i do this out of my garage , i have a 4 inch grinder , a cheap Campbell welder , a half inch battery impact with a battery drill and just hand tools and wrenches , i believe i have done a good job with what i have and im proud of what i have built !! i did not enter to win - i entered to keep my self busy !! i have learned a lot and have had a blast doing so !! thanks for letting me join the build off !!
