Murray wide body "racing" mower

This is a 1993 murray wide body with the only thing that is stock is, well ..... Nothing . Ungoverned Briggs opposed twin , 6 speed spicer Trans axle , 20 inch turf savers on the back , 15 inch turfs on the front with inner tubes , racing air filter , steel gas tank , welded front axle , lowered 1 1/5 inches , custom exhaust , 8 inch front 3 inch rear pulley, working brakes with modified linkages, Double clutch pulley.

yeah, really gave it a lot of air flow . i didn't have to re-jet the carb even .

I like that air filter, got any pics of how you mounted it? Been wanting to put a snorkel or something on my oppys for a long time.

I need to make a better mount since i cracked this one when it was on a different mower but it is a pvc end cap for 3.5" " pipe with a hole drilled out to fit the intake and vent holes, then mounting pattern. the air filter fits over the pipe and ect.

Threw some tires on it from an atv and put on a different clutch spring then took it for a romp ! had loads of fun getting stuck multiple times , and i think i am going to turn it into an off roader

Well got this beast out of the woods and was startoing to change the tires back to turfs and realized that when i flipped it it torqued the front tranny mouint and completely busted the bolt mount off and made this thing toast. I will probably save the frame for a build off idea and put the engine on something else

Yeah t'was pretty violent . landed hard on the right rear axle . had all of the weight on that one tire for a sec . oh well its redneck life i guess lol

Yeah, i was surprised it held up this long. ive abused the out of it.

I beat the heck outta my 820, surprisingly it was still solidly mounted when it blew half the case off. Safe to say, they're pretty sturdy, til they're not

I want an 820, but have not found one yet .

I seem to be in a hotspot of 820s. Always see em in mowers on marketplace and craigslist.

Lucky. Never even laid eyes on one , might of caught a glimpse of one driving through town once or twice but thats it

I almost always see Murray GTs with them. That's where I got my latest one from, a Murray GT.

I have one guy near me with a yard full of mowers, I've bought a bunch of good stuff from him lol. I figure if I ever blow an MST he has probably 10 laying around I could buy.

lol! Now that I think of it, a friend not too far away has a junkyard of atvs, dirt bikes, probably mowers, and pickups and stuff like that. Might ask them for something, the atvs would be useful for a lot of parts.

Atvs aren't that great unless they have the right kind of coil overs, running engines to use , and nice tires lol

You guys should see the mower junkyard that I got my Peerless 600 from. I swear there's one of every lawn tractor ever made there. And it's all for sale!! Haha.

Lol, would be nice if I could find one like that! I mostly need a frame for the rear-end of the Roper, but it would be nice to know we could blow up our trannies and not worry about not finding another!!!

if theres one of every tractor, why didn't you get a 820????? lol
