| can i do a pulley swap on a lawnmower with a hydrostatic transaxel
its a 2005 craftsman lt1000 with a hydrostatic trans-axel | |

its a 2005 craftsman lt1000 with a hydrostatic trans-axel you can but them come stock with like a 4 inch so you really need a bigger front pulley an leave the back on the same you cange it you will get everything in there hot cause it has a fan type thing on the pulley that cools it i ran in to that promble on my dads mower wanted to mow faster lol | |

| nooooooooooo sorry you cant speed a hydro up!!!! you will blow up the hydrolic pump in the rearend and your tranny wont work anymore | |

| Depends on the model as to what size pulleys you have. For example I have 2 murrays, one manual, one hydro. The manual has a 3" engine pulley and a huge(12"?) tranny pulley. The hydro has a 5" engine pulley and 3" tranny pulley. This might also prove useful for others looking for cheaper pulleys, since the rest of the hydro mowers are about worthless for what we do. | |

| Go big on the tires.. That will get you a little more speed. If you want to go stupid fast...you could do a chain drive from the tx to sprokets to drive the wheels. You will need to do at least an 8" lift to pull this off |

| i am getting bigger tires.....and so i can change the engine pulley from a 3 inch to a 4 inch | |
