Super snapper UPDATE! Uh.....well I did bring it into the garage, but I really don't feel like spending much time on this thing. I'm thinking more about a real build for the 2018 build off and I'm not too sure if this is going to get done. Leaning towards abandoning the project to tell the truth. I sold the hydro from the john deere I had and I didn't get the carb cleaned out yet. It's on the bench in a box. So...guess the future is uncertain for the super snapper. It might end up getting used for parts.

Awe!  Always looking for your next build. I'm actually surprised you had time for it with the truck build.

I was doing some thinking and decided the super snapper might be neat if it was shortened a bit. So I took out some length, rigged on a carb from another engine, and finished the exhaust I wanted to do before. Mr. Fackler stopped by for a visit on this particular day and helped with a lot of the work.


Megaphone exhaust, part way through building it.


One more weld to go in this picture. Welding the megaphone to the stock header pipe. It wasn't quite as loud as I thought it would be when I ran it.


Temporary test setup with the gas tank


Seat installed from an excersize bike. Gas tank welded into place. Still needs a throttle and a battery somewhere. More stuff and paint soon, looks like it's going to get completed after all.


I have an idea of putting on some racing numbers and making it have a motocross theme. Probably will get some ATLTF.COM lettering too.

Thanks people. Yeah more or less it's a swap meet cruiser, but that doesn't mean I won't try doing some stupid stuff with it. And you can get the front end off the ground pretty easy, but it is safe enough to ride around normally without worrying too much. You have to lean back quite a bit to get it to wheelie. Doug Fackler has some video of me riding around with it. Not sure if he'll ever get to editing it or not. If not I'm sure I'll get some video at some point. I need to put some skids or something on the bottom of those rear tubes, that's what hits the ground when your up in the air. It dug some marks into the road in front of the garage.
