Joey's Monster Murray Build [2017 Build-Off Entry]

This is my first time entering in a build-off so here goes it. Here's my build plans and a few pictures of the Murray.

A little up date, I'm getting the rear end lifted, 2 inches shorter than the rear and getting every thing mocked and tacked up and then fully welded

hey man, how is this coming along? if you need any advice or help with ideas shoot me a message, ive got experience with lifted mowers, and modding them in general, i like to see other people build lifted ones

Only problem That's holding me back is my Pulley on my transaxle it does not want to come off, tried wax ,WD-40, brake cleaner, still need some help

Might have to split the case, remove the retainer clip for the gear and pull the shaft. With it out of the case, you could put it in a vise or a pipe to hold the pulley and nail the shaft out of it. But then again, you have a center bolt holding the case together along with the outer bolts. Would be hard to just pull on the pulley till the clip that holds the gear on inside pops off, but is doable.

how'd you make your beverage holder

Did a little work on the mower, , I stripped her down to her frame to start working on the clutching and jackshaft. , removing unnecessary wires. , moved the clutch assembly forward about 6 '', to make room for the jackshaft.

This build is gonna look MEAN! I'm diggin' it hahaha.

Is that piece the bearing is bolted to stainless? Hope you have a MIG welder for that stuff. Lookin awesome! Making me wanna do a lifted mower.

Went to home depot and bought a pvc pipe cap and a section of pipe.cut the pipe to desired length, then push it into the cap. Drill a hole in the center of cap and bolt in place.

So the reason why I haven't posted anything in a while is because I decide to cut out the radius arm suspension, due to every time I would steer the axle left or right, the axle would tilt forward or back. So now I plan on doing a tall Independent suspension in the front for better cushion going over bumps. If I can find a front end of a 4 wheel such as an old Polaris trailboss, which would be nice, I could use it and weld it to the existing mower frame.
