| Should be cool! When you say dual throttle, do you mean hand and foot throttle? That's what I'm planning on adding to mine as well. | Carlisle snow hogs and X-tracs are pretty commonly run on the front. Fearless runs the snow hogs and redneckcomputergeek runs the x-tracs. I still haven't decided between the two lol | |

| The YT16s with the gear tx were prone to snapping axles. They had 23" tires on 12" wheels and 3/4" axles. They were not a bad mower, but using them for anything other than that was asking for trouble. You can overdrive the hydro a little. With the 27s and a mild pulley swap you should be able to get it in the 10mph range. | |

it all depends on how you build it too and for speed wise im looking to get between 20 and 30km/h

| On the charging system, maybe a 10/12 SI GM alternator . The original 10 SI can go up to 63 amps (steel fan), while the original 12 SI alternator goes up to 94 amps (plastic fan). With a volt gauge and dummy light in the dash. Pretty easy and reliable setup. | |

where would be the best place to mount it as this tractor may see some mud on the trails and such

| Looks like a vertical shaft engine. Maybe mount a pulley on top of the engine, centering would be mandatory though, like a home made pull start setup, to drive the alternator. Then make a bracket to hold alternator in front of motor. In engine compartment away from any mud. | |

| To the transaxle breakage it's probs because you had a Spicer in there I'm trying to find a peerless 820 transaxle and I do plan on adding lots support in that area and skid plate for sure only because it will take lots of abuse and I will take pics when I do the dual throttle | |

| That particular spicer is identical to a peerless... not sure what one though.
The rig was free anyway. Woot.

| Yeah the one that's in mine is a hydro and it's got the 1 inch axles just like the peerless 820 so I'm hoping that will be heavy duty enough | |

| Just a lil update I finally decided to pull it out and do an lil bit of work to it I'm currently working on pulling turf savers 20 10 8 on the front with a mild lift and got rid of all the hydro setup and I finally found a peerless 820 transaxle already locked and greased | |
