| Well, the move is done, still unpacking. Will probably be unpacking for the next several weeks to maybe month or so. I think it is about time to bring the tractors home from my parents. They have extended their sleep-over with my dad's Kubota and MTD long enough. Here they are all packed up in my Dad's little barn/shed we built about 10 years ago. Can't believe we have 9 tractors in there! My work shuts down for the hollidays starting tomorrow till next year. I think I should take advantage of the trailer I have to get them "Home".

| Move went well, yes the Kubota is a 3cyl Diesel. Runs great! It's about 13-15 yrs old now. The Green Yard machine (MTD) there is where the original engine to the Purple People Eater that the the daughter drives went. His original engine caught fire and burned up, didn't damage the tractor too much. Still works today! HAHA. | |

| Well, the tractors are home from their sleep-over at my parents during the Christmas break. From one sardine can to another. :-) I also, while visiting my wife's parents, I had time to check out the Murray in their field. It needs more work than I figured. I think the motor is trashed. Sat too long in the open, not easy to spin. The transaxle is completely frozen in gear. I man-handled it for about 5 minutes and was never able to wiggle it out of gear. I think it's transaxle may be full of water and shot. Once we are settled in a bit more, I will revisit looking into it. Pic for reference.

| Any engine like that can be fixed with a hone, patience, and a quick polish to the crank. It may free up easier than you think | |

| Definitely try to fix it up. From what I hear, the hill-stops were pretty uncommon, borderline rare, and probably moreso with the opposed hood.
Plus, we would practically be twinsies! Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures

Very delayed response. The engine is free, the tractor had just sunk in to the dirt up to the engine pulley. Engine was free of water. Transaxle, I think may be ok? I think it's just the shifter that is stuck. I had that issue with my sears when I got it back from my sister. Some buffing and it works great now. Hope that is the same issue on this.

| It's 16hp. I have an 18hp in the garage should it not work out. Once I am done with the Sasquatch, I think I'll drop that transaxle and see what is up with it.

| Still thinking rat rod, still thinking a green, and even whitewalls maybe. As always that is still a ways off and is subject to change. | |
