| Both my stock Fords max out at 8.5 mph.
The off roader is currently geared for 65 mph.
I intend to get it down around 50 for better acceleration off the bottom.

| Actually, mowercycle gang is running 44-45mph, on the GPS, flat out. But really we run 35mph tops when racing, and 10 mph on the trails.
These speeds were darn near uncontrollable before. With the custom front end, solid axle rear end, and upgraded steering, you can drive no hands at top speed. Not that I recommend that.
No stock axle/geometry front ended tractor should go over 20mph. They have severe camber in the king pin, causing unstable steering at higher speeds. We fought this for years before researching and building new front ends.

| I use a golf cart axle turned upside down for clearance. As far as the axle and linkage related to the golf cart axle, There is no slop. As for the currant way I have the axle mounted the the rest of the steering, there's plenty of slop. | |

| My Sat Nav says mine does 10 MPH, I going to do another pulley swap in to once its rebuild so i can get about 15mph. 10 is a little too slow for my liking. | |

| My gen1 racer did about 15 on a flat with its pulley swap. My Craftsman only did about 8 last I tried cause we couldnt get it out of third because of the shift lever. Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures

| It does hurt.. Id like to run double belts on it with seperate clutches and different sized pullys so that I could have a lower gear for water crossings. | |

Good idea. Add a drive pulley, and pick up a 3 stage stepped pulley. You could run 3 different ratios,

| My Murray Goes 15 MPH, but I plan on making it at a minimum 35 MPH. (Maybe Faster?) My other mowers will be rock crawling slow. | |

| I've got a older Murray riding mower with a 6speed peerless 12 hp ic Briggs and Stratton. I welded a 7in pulley onto the engine and put a 3 in pulley into the trans axle my top speed with about 165lbs does 35MPH that's sketchy as hell with the large amount of play in the steering I have. Fun tho get a lot of looks passing vehicles on town on your lawn mower! | |

| on my snapper, when the carb doesn't flood out (flamethrower anyone?) I was clocked by the police officer on duty last winter @ 38mph. I have had it as fast as 45-50, but it really didn't like that much. When the widebody is done I estimate it at or around 30 top speed, 6th gear with throttle pinned. |
