| Yeah you're on your own for the tire funds, haha. Too bad you couldn't get splined studs in there like an automotive setup, that'd be pretty handy. | |

| Anybody ever gearbox steel lawn mower tires like the ones on super old tractors? That would be so cool and they would never wear out. | |

| Yeah exactly ! Ride a little rough but could have lots of different custom tread depth and pattern. I might try to build some some time. | |

| That would definitely look neat but they might not do as well traction wise as you mighr think. When Allis started putting pnuematic rubber tires on tractor they discovered that they could get far better traction than with steel wheels, the tractor could even plow in a higher gear because there was no wheel slippage. | Yeah, well steel ones don't have any floatation, they're heavy, and don't shed mud very well, so that's probably why. I've seen a few restored garden tractors with homemade steel wheels on them for though, and it looks pretty cool haha. | You know, you look at these tractors, the hitch hole is always egged out and looks like poop. on these sears with 3/16-1/4in plate for the hitch. So I welded up a beefy hitch for the sears tractors today. It bolt into the existing holes in the frame. This will NOT egg out. These magnets actually hold, and hold well. If anyone is in the market for some GOOD welding magnets these are excellent. Weldzzz.... Didnt need this many here, but I needed the practice. Chunk of 1/4 for the brace. Looks kinda dumb all by itself... Trying some fancy angled pieces. Looks cool! Not my prettiest welds ever, I am out of practice. ...but in the end, I guess it will look alright with some paint. | |

| Great heavy duty draw bar Beal! Should be able to put some wicked weight on that no problem now. | Yeah, it will handle weight the tractor couldn't dream of pulling. Havnt figured out the carb issues on the ST10 yet Buck... the o-ring in the bottom adjustment needle deteriorated. and was leaking. Need to find a replacement. As I was moving it, the steering wheel finally gave out. Itd been loose for a while. Well thats no good... So i cut off the rubber and slapped some booger welds on it. If I was smarter at the time, I would have taken more time and cut the rubber off in such a way it could slip back on and be glued together... ohwell. | |

| The steering wheel on my little LT 11 is that same two spoke one and it's broken in the same way. I didn't know if it was a common thing or if the previous owner was just a hardcore grass cutter, haha. | @ thebeal, I've found with my last 2 Tecumsehs st10 and st12 both carbs were so finicky, i rebuilt them a few times but the shafts for the throttle plate had to much play and it was hard to find parts up here, but a 8hp kohler(K181)carb fits well on it and it improved the starting, idle and top end. | |

| Warmed up a bit, further dissasembled the lt10, wire wheeled and slapped a light coat of primer on some parts. I think I can still use the frame, havnt found any bad spots yet. | |
