I originally measured it at 6 inches. I cut it down to aeound 3 inches tall now. That lowers the seat, which ultimately puts you closer to the clutch pedal, and lowers center of gravity. Its deep enough i can still keepmy strap back there

I just read through the thread and I'm excited to see this tractor in action at the upcoming romp!

You ended up swapping in another transaxle but with welded pinion gears instead?

Ive had a few differant transaxles in.

Current one is flipped and welded gears.

Since the last update a year ago I've had to replace another trans and I've swapped tires as well as a different front bumper that I found lying in the woods at my new house.

Sometime this Winter or early Spring I will be swapping out the engine for a fresh one as well as doing some other needed repairs and upgrades

I like those rear tires. Redzz02 had those on his mud dynamark for a couple years but they were much narrower

Went for a ride yesterday other than my smoking worn out engine the tractor did great.

As for the last trans it was one I pieced together using 3 broken ones with busted spiders. My welds failed that were replacing them

Kinda hard to tell in the picture there, but did the engine blow something out of the top of the block? Looks like a hole there.

He borrowed them from redzzz02 for the day.

Yes, it shot a rod right through the top and dented the bottom of the gas tnnk.

It's been smoking and low on power for a few rides now and had a slight knock Saturday.

I pulled the govna bypass one to many times I guess. Blew apart trying to cross my "pond"

Sounds like some pretty wild engine carnage. But if it was that worn out I guess it's not really a huge loss or anything.

I have an identical one sitting in the floor. Just want to do some other mods while engine is off since been putting it off

So not a fault of the trans thats a good thing. Someday, maybe... Ill get my SS12 built. I plan on using a solid axle in it.

I think I'm in my 4th trans. First failed from flipped gears. 2nd I rolled it hard and bent the axle. 3rd one didnt care for a 20 mile trip in high, 3rd running 20+mph and ate itself apart from the inside.
The last one was from piecing the 1st two togather to make one.

Simply put most folks dont put these things through what we do. Typical romps will never break one It takes alot to break a properly welded 633. It's common to just ones with flipped gears though

Is the welded bits the issue? I dont plan on there being much, if any welded bits if I can help it.

Shes back in buissnes with a new to me used predator and a 7 inch engine pulley.
