Alright guys so I was messing around on facebook saw a ad for a deere 111 for 75 dollars owner said it was being a pos so I was like deal! Got it home dicked around with it a little bit, engine runs ok needs a tiny bit of work (b&s 11 flatty needs a non chokeomatic carb if anyone has one) it had a peerless 806D but the case was cracked and the input was skipping teeth (someone tried to wheelie a couple times to many my guess) No deck or anything but it is in good condition, so I swapped in a spicer 4360 I had sitting around it fit pretty well suprisingly and it operates with the old belt so all I gotta do is lock the rear and get tires mounted Im not going to mess with it to much its just going to be a wagon puller might build a snow blower since it still has the pto but for now it is just a dicking around deere. Very Happy

Pics to follow when I get time.

A spicer with stock gearing should be fine locked on turfs. Great score man glad to see it not in a junkyard!

I've seen a old no name gt, like 50's that had portals online. I'm not sure how you could make them, maybe with kart stubby axles going thru the rim then two pillow blocks, chain running to the axle mounted higher up.

WHAT no shrinkage?  bounce

On my JD210 build, the rearfender is actually a JD111 fender.

They look good as racer or rally machines too.

I was actually thinking about using some spare gears from a couple trannies I got laying around and just machine a housing from a block of steel or something. @TD yeah when I saw it I was like hey that looks familiar :p

Ok so slight update got the 4360 apart and soaking in some diesel. I left it out in the sun got nice and warm just stripped the grease right off. Anyway got 1 old tire off the rim other one is super glued on (I ***** you not) so uhhh yeah pain in my ass but I'll get it done eventually. Decided to paint her industrial yellow like the heavy equipment may have to have the decals made or something lol. I'll do pics tomorrow prolly a movie too

Alright guys I worked my everloving ass off today and got a lot done! I got the tranny locked and loaded the usual way. I welded up the spiders and welded the bevel gears to the axles. (wire wraps seriously?!?) got the tires mounted (sexy!) and then slapped everything together and took her for a tiny rip. Oh and I am thinking the industrial yellow is pretty neat looking or it will be once I get it painted and the decals done.

Im getting sick of dicking with this janky ass chokeomatic carb :/ took it out cleaned it up slapped it back on there and now it is running ok but the throttle sticks and butterfly assembly is super loose (red flags?) and the throttle/choke assembly on the side of the engine isnt working right so it holds the throttle open even when it is off any suggestions for a replacement carb? Ill probably just take off the whole assembly for the throttle/choke and just hook the choke to a normal little pull cable. Kinda thinking I am gonna do a little performance work on the motor when I get it apart well see.

it is normal for the butterfly to be open when the engine is off. the faster the engine spins, the more the govener closes.
