| Ok so I got what I think is a peerless 600 transaxle it's in a 1970 ford oil filled it's he type that has the rounded housing. My question is does the shaft that the brake disc attaches to spin the same speed as the axles? | |

| Sooooo sorry. I completely forgot to post the answer. I was out to the garage this morning and saw my 600 sitting there, and it reminded me. I checked it the other day, but I was busy and by the time I made it back into the house, *poof*... Gone!
Anyways, the brake shaft counter-rotates. | |

| drive it off a rubber wheel in contact with the outside edge of the brake disk. This will effectively reverse the rotation. | |

would also give you a way to tweak the speedo if it wasnt reading accurately due to tire size and what have you | |
