It's that season again!

So recently we got the s word. SNOW! For everyone that gets some regularly, what mods are you doing to prepare for it! Plows? Chains? Oil changes? I plan on doing a axle swap and new tires.

LORD please let there be a blizzard here in FLORIDA AMEN!!. I would love to romp in snow

I just replaced my old 10" front tires with huge 20" ones!

I am working on small things in the rally to "perfect it" (although it will never be perfect) enough to take it home for the winter because now it is at my shop.  I will also do an oil change (like usual) and then... I will start getting more in-depth on the speed mower!!

Also thinking about the future.. I might get another 700 and make a BETTER tractor just to plow the garden and the snow and be like the all around work-horse (but that's the future).

I changed my oil to Quaker State 10w-30 Synthetic oil and changed my oil filter. motor sounds healthier and warms up better.

I was thinking about making a plow but ehh, thats what the front bumpers for.

Im going to make a PLYWOOD plow for pony so i can do my drive way in the middle of a rich neighbood here at my aunts at 6 in the morning with straight pipes lol.. i need to get a muffler

If I had mine here with me id wrap chain around the center of each front tire. I saw that they help with turning traction.

Be sure to yell "Git 'R Done!" frequently, whilst doing the above. Remember to yell loudly, they gotta hear you over the exhaust...  

Had the same idea for a plow. ill get my friends plow if he buys the snow blower attachment hes been moaning about.

Lol.. ive already been had someone call the police for me hillclimbing on the 1,000,000 dollar+ salary hill.. lol thank god pony still did 20 mph..
seen the lights and took off on the ole girl. (not joking.. then shut it off and click it in neutral.. and rolled down the the other side of hill coasted to my house.. and pushed it in my driveway lol) But yeah.. muffler is needed for me..

Well for me I need better front tires but that will wait, I need the starter for my V-twin then its motor swapping!!

A good snow is fun when in school, and then it's fun about twice a year. Darn winter here is way too long.

Mine's ready for the snow, we usually hook a sled to it and pull the kids around once a year. Without the ag's and locked rear, it would be dead in the snow. I can get through quite a bit driving around, but big drifts stop ya, unless you can get some speed and bust through.

Ive seen you're video from last winter when you bounced over a snowbank and bent the steering wheel lol

I put thicker oil in my tractor

Thicker oil is for summer. Multi-viscosity oils have pretty much eliminated the need for different oils in the summer/winter.

I am putting in a peerless mst 205 in my murray in place of the one I demoloshed yesterday

Providing my craftsman was going as I had originally hoped... I would be modifying some tire chains to fit... ugg.

Just a friendly reminder for those who get SNOW!



(tractor last winter mostly stock. Had sidepipe and bumper.)

It will be a lot more fun this year, eh, red?
