Hey guys, TBP here to say it's time for my pony rebuild to take place!
Plans are, small lift in rear, 4 inch engine pulley, redesign vari drive to take some abuse, paint frame up, and some other secret stuff Very Happy
Started the other day so here is what i got so far..

Project Pony 20131111_165625_zps99b45d40
Notice how the belt is on the wrong side of the vari drive...
So I decided to take it all apart..

Had an idea.. but eh.. nevermind..
Project Pony 20131112_171015_zps2194cd76
Did some vari drive work which I'll go further into later.
Then I decided i needed a 1.5" lift in the rear to set the stance up right..

Ill suggest a new belt, front bumper, maybe some after-market lights. i welded and braced my consle to my frame in case of a roll over my pliance isnt toally cocked. Frame up builds are the only way to go. Just go through everything! lol Shocked

Update on the pony!
Got my 1.5 inch lift kit completed.. Went very smooth. Made a set of lift blocks, a adapter to mount up the front of the axle, a jackshaft sorta deal.. and adjusted the shift linkage.. Worked Perfect. Also made some adjustment to fit belts I had laying around. So now the drivetrain is complete.. all thats left is a parking break. I'm thinking of a hand brake for parking it.. Just a pull past a knotch kinda deal and lock.
~Plans still to come,
~Bumpers
~Tow hooks
~Exhaust
~Plating the rear of the frame
~Rewire, and rebuild dash for custom interface.
~Whatever else I can think of Very Happy

Here's some pics of what I've done,

Ha Ha now would be a good time to swap in a five or six speed peerless trans.  Then the legacy of the 35-spd beast could carry on with you!

Prolly one of the flex-est frames mtd made. Angle iron or welding the mainsails to the backing and front plates would help too.
