Murray widebody forged cast iron axle swap

So I just got this junk Scott's mower and it has a huge forged cast iron front axle so I'm swapping that into my widebody cause it has a stamped axle. But this is pretty much a bolt in swap it already has heavy duty double steering which will bolt right up.

What model transaxle on the Scott's? Maybe worth swapping in?

Is that hiem joints or what ever on the front for steering? Who made scots? AYP? Is that a front number up front of it to?

i believe John Deere made scotts. if not its AYP. and it just says "cast iron" in the fronts

My old tractor had a similar cast front axle... no camber on mine though.

Ya basically the same frame as the Murray but heavier duty

I like it, replace before something breaks. The stock axle wont be very strong with bigger tires, this thing is a monster. How big of spindles?

JD did make some of the scotts, but in scotts final years they where made by Murray to cut cost. Our scotts is a JD and the front axle is way different than that one you got there. good idea!
