| my name is nick. i just started looking into tractors not to long ago. what i would like to know is if there is a way to bypass a fuel shutoff solenoid without buying a new one. if anybody knows how to, please message me back . i still have the old solenoid just in case i still need it for bypassing. | |

| Hello, and welcome to ATLTF. I am assuming you mean the Briggs Anti-Afterfire Solenoid on the bottom of the carb, right?
If so- Remove it, and you will see a needle-shaped plunger tip. Cut, grind hacksaw... whatever- cut it off flush with the body of the solenoid. Reinstall, done. No need to wire it up, no need to have it functional. It was some EPA geniuses way to justify their salaries. | |
