| I'm thinking about making a lawn mower/gokart like fearlessfront did. The only thing is I'm basing mine off a baja wilderness 90 and was wondering what would be the best jack shaft gears for a good torque/speed. | |

| baja's are cool bikes but the motor would be a little small for something like that i would look for a 125 or 200 from an old bike | |

| Yah I want something bigger that's manual but don't have the money I got this from a friend who needed to get rid of it. | |

| OK, I'd say a 12T front, maybe a 14... and axle side I'd have a 40. Would get up and move with that combination. Could try others, depending on whether you're using torque converter or not. |

| I'm thinking about a torque converter but I don't know with the gears it has on it, it already goes 25 | |

| In that case I'd leave the gearing alone... 25 is a respectable speed for what you are talking about...at least to start with |

| You could sell it to buy something bigger but a torque converter is a really good investment | |

| I cant really sell it because the exhaust piece is broken. I need it to have a lot of acceleration and top end. | |

Meh- You can sell anything! - Quote :

Speed and acceleration are a trade-off, especially with smaller engines. | |
