| I don't know if anybody actually said they don't work... Let's face it- if it didn't, it wouldn't be an option! However- a hydrostatic drive arrangement isn't really conducive to regearing. You pretty much have what you have, and you're stuck with it.
Looks like you had fun though, which is great. Be sure to get under there with the hose or pressure washer and get that transmission clean. Mud=heat, and heat=cooked tranny... | |

| if i guesstimate right, i have it going about 10mph top speed. thats with a 7" in the front and original in the back which i believe is a 3" | |

| well thats good to know. i always saw on youtube people saying not to use hydros. so i did it just because. its good for light stuff. not mud holes because im affraid to burn it up. i cant wait to get my 5 speed spicer going again. gunna have it top speed of about 20-25 if i guess right. its about 12 right now. or was. haha till i took it apart | |

| I put my posi locker back into the case, cleaned all the grease out and put new grease in, cleaned all the bushings inside of it, put rtv on it and put it all back together and threw it back under the tractor. I also primed my grinding spots on the fenders and took it mudding to "test" the locker. Works awesome. | |

| ive never had an issue. been running this thing for going on 2 months like that now. ran another for a year without a problem. if i turn it off i can touch the exhaust without burning myself | |

| i understand that. unfortanetly i dont have the shroud. it was rusted heap. fortunately this one blows enough air over the engine it stays cool. and im swapping it over to my original tractor now that its fixed up finally. which will be covered with a hood | |

| im getting ready to take apart my murray widebody down to the frame for a later project if you need any body parts? and i understand the 20 times thing. i finally got my tranny working right for like the 20th time after blowing my input bearings.... | |
