| Holy crap i have found the single greatest and cheapest thing to clean carbs with. I found it online and figured i would try it out and damn does it work. I have taken some real nasty carbs and made them look almost new. Its Pine Sol floor cleaner. i t doesn't bother gaskets or o-rings, i have put whole carbs in it with out taking them apart and they come out great. any way read up on it, http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=560117One thing i do different that makes it even better is i use a fish tank air pump to churn the stuff around. Seems to work faster that way. As for it not bothering gaskets or o-rings, i left a carb in the stuff for almost a month to see what would happen. didnt bother it a bit. Give it a try. | |

| Shame I dont use Pine Sol.
A lot safer to breathe that stuff in though, ass opposed to brake or carb cleaner. Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures

| There's another, that if the carb allows the engine to run... non-flammable brake cleaner. Keep someone on the throttle, spray a squirt in... it'll smoke like mad... but don't worry, as soon as it clears out do it again... on the 3rd try shut it down a while, let the stuff dry out. Then start tractor and do it 1 more time. The innards, fuel passages included will look like brand new. I use it that way on cars too - even fuel injected ones. Cleans sensors, solenoids and pretty much anything the fuel or air touches. Not as cheap but just as thorough! |

| Pine-Sol, eh? Thanks for that awesome tip, I will have to give it a try!
There's also a lot of people that will boil the carb in lemon juice and report good results. I haven't tried that one yet, either. | |

| I was pretty unsure this would work but I have to say I am very surprised. It actually looks cleaner than I did a few months ago after I put it in carb cleaner for a few days. The o-rings are still in place and everything works awesome | |

| I tried this out on a few old push mowers I acquired. Didn't want to spend money on carb kits so just disassembled and soaked in the pine-sol. Very surprised at how good it worked. I think it even revitalized the rubber parts. The smell and being non-toxic, not harsh was an added bonus. | |
