This is my first true lawnmower build. It was originally a Gilson mower, a 52113A 48707 model with a 8 hp 190707 Briggs and Stratton. It has a Peerless transaxle, haven't looked very closely at the model of that really. I pretty much re-did everything on it. New frame, clutch set up, moved the motor to the back for extra weight, and of course...Bigger/better tires.

Interesting set up. My guess is it would push pretty bad trying to corner without any weight on the front, but I bet it does a hell of a job going straight.

I bet not... If you look, he is sitting in front of the rear axle. Basically swapping engine weight for body weight. On advantage I see is set position is really low, and weight distributation is probably close to a stock mower. Long frame helps.

It may not be far off in handling compared to Jacob's RER

I missed that..... You're probably right on the handling.

Is it chain drive or are you using a belt?

Those are some extremely aggressive tires. What are they?

It does have bear claws on the back. And now the transaxle is shot because of quick shifting and gear grinding

Due to the transaxle breaking. This mower is going to be parked for a while
