No real progress I just don't know what to do with myself in the past few days, so im just tinkering with it.

My custom forward axle mount bolt has came out twice already and im not about to have it come out again.


That's a bolt with a lock washer going into the case with lock thread on it, and that nut if like a jam nut fot the head of the bolt, pinching the black metal part.

I just farted around the garage then too, and slipped pretty close to the garage.

So my dad came home with a new toy, a backup beeper for a semi truck. might as well put it on the mower!

I just split the 12V wire that's for my car horn and borrowed the power supply. ill only use one at a time.

Well finally I got the rod ends I wanted for my mower at last, without paying big bucks.

Two aluminum steering rods from a Polaris indi 500. I just got a 5 lb sledge and bent them into the form I wanted. and I still havnt used the second rod. Heres the old rod:





And I found 2 820's witch I thought was cool. I might get one for someone.



Both tractors had 18hp opposed's on them. I don't want one because the 930 I have now works just fine.

DITCH THE 930 lol get a opposed twin and a frigging 820 man join the 820 club

i would buy a 820 but over priced, well not bad, just cant affored it, lol i can probably get one here cheaper, but thanks anyways man, appricete it

yea the problem with 820s is that I would have to make new mounts, and make new hubs for my rear rims (rim welded to another rim) so just to me to much money and not enough reason. love my 930 lol.

I wanted cargo space so I got one of my free tool box's and free tools that I don't use. threw them in there and strapped it down.
I drilled rivets because the handle wouldn't fit under the lip of the rear fender
 




 
I got a old belt that I had and just ran it thru the original hitch below the box, dragons add hp right? lol ill be painting it soon.
 

 
I re-installed my rope a different way to get the box in the spot, and the hitch was taken off so I could get the box out. the hitch is now in the box.
 




 
It does move but not a lot, just side to side. I think ill attempt to make it water resistant. perfect size.
Ill put all my stickers on the box now.

I want a 820, I'll buy and pay for shipping if you'll sell....

I live in fl so it'll be a lot, plus 820s have the same mounts as any other axle, Murray, MTD, and Craftsman. hubs are kinda expensive new but you should have hubs that came with the axle. Then all you do is drill 5 holes in your rim! Now your tractor's INDESRUCTABLE!!!

I have a peerless 930 6 spd in the rally and I love it!

so what axle do you have under the tractor now?

That was going under my cousins (called my cousins sill mine) 06 Bolens, the Craftsman has a brand new 820 and the ford has a 801-020B peerless, the Bolens is getting the 5 speed Spicer again. I have a friend that may be interested I have to talk to him tho, he has a newer man that had a hydro so we ripped that out, now he needs an axle.

Sence my frame flexes bad, and I was getting suggestions on why I should brace it, this is how I did it.
I used 1"-1"-3' tubing and 1/8" stainless plate. just cut out the old joint and welded in new braces. still need to do the other side, no big deal tho.


Bolts where in my way so I welded the sections and removed the bolts.

Cut out the old weak section and welded plate in. Second pic shows the route of the tubing.



Now underneath, the "rail" that held the mowdeck mounts and me clutch foot lever, I removed the bolts (in the way too) and welded the rail in place.

I then finished welding the plate in then mocked up the tubing


I then finished welding everything in







Tadaa! just needs paint now.

SWEET, nice bracing and welds. I also like your toolbox in a toolbox on the back (I do the same LOL).
