Do you drive a lawn tractor or ride it?

Simple question that I can't work out, Do you drive a lawn tractor or ride it?

What do you guys think.

Isnt it driving if it has a steering wheel, riding if its handlebar?

well then i reckon the answer depends on how good your steering is, cause on a fast one if the steerin is crap it has a mind of its own

Riding sounds like you have no controll over it! But I do like what someone said, driving for steering wheels and riding for handlebars.

Thats why you cant use stock steering on a fast lawntractor - theres too much slop in it because it was designed for 5-8mph, not 20 plus mph.

Thats also why I took my mod murray apart, thing was way too dangerous to drive that fast being 90% stock - better then letting it sit and rust away.

Nearly crashing it at 30mph was an eye opener...

Now my next one will be made to actually go fast .....

I've got a Murray pro (profile picture) and that stock steering is BEAST! The tie rods are like an inch thick!

My opinion, you drive a manual transaxle and ride a hydro, haha.

I'm a drag racer. Believe me, some cars you have to "drive" because they take a lot of work to ensure they go straight and make it to the end of the track. You can not leave them to their own devices.

Other cars, you are just going along for the "ride" because they take care of them selves and you could tune in the radio if you wanted to.
