Losing oil thru crank case vent on 17.5 Briggs Any ideas why?

Losing oil thru crank case vent on 17.5. Any ideas why? It only happens when its at running temp

Sitting still or moving, flat and level or angled?

It dont do it when its cold and it dont matter if your moving or sitting still or moving or unlevel

T could be one of a few things.

It could be overfull.

The baffle could be missing/fallen off

excessive blowby, ie. bad rings

Thats about all I can think of right now

Yea im lost. this motor runs sweet im thinking the rings iv done everything i can think of

Might be your baffle.

What oil are you using?

I must be having a really bad brain cramp lol. Whats the baffle

Theres a little thing behind where the tube connects called the breather housing. Its to keep oil from splashing into the tube.

Yup already replaced it. Replaced the oil and filter also how do you do a compresion test with it having a compresion release

Check to see if the oil smells like gasoline - if it does, change the oil FIRST, then either rebuild or super clean the carb - usually if the oil is over filled, its due to gasoline leaking into the oil ( thru the valves) because the float bowl sticks and lets gas flow even when its off. If the tractor is run with thinned oil, itll melt the berings and blow the motor.

Id also suggest a fuel line shut off valve.
