| It started life green,18" turf savers on back,15" turf savers up front, all stock when i got it.
So the first day i got it,i immediately took the deck off.I couldn't really do much riding because the transaxle wouldn't shift, and with a little help from a hammer, after a while it finally decided to free up.
So the first modification I did was painted it Camouflage with black wheels. Next it was pulley mods. First,I got a smaller rear pulley,i don't remember what size it is. And a few days later i got a new-used front pulley. I don't remember what size it is either. Sorry lol
So after paint and pulleys i got some new tires. I got some 20" turf 505. After i got some new tires i decided to get new headlights. They're sort of LED headlights.
So now that I'm pretty far into this machine,i decided to rebuild the motor because it was starting to get a slight rod knock. I shaved the head, put a cam in it(i have a freind that is a machienest so i got him to weld it up for me),port and polished, and a new rod. So i rode it like this for a long time-until December, when i got my current motor,a Vanguard 18HP V-Twin. So around christmas I had the power to turn more aggressive tires,i ordered the current tires-Kenda Bear Claws, 22x12.50-8,and recently i got new wheels and tires up front.I couldn't get any bigger tires because I had too small of a wheel. So i got 16x6.50-8 turf savers,I'm going to get some more aggressive soon.
In the future i'd like to get billet rods, cam, shave heads, port and polish, and flat top pistons. But thats on down the road...
Thanks for reading.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *****UPDATE***** So i got my rear end locked, and the damn thing after a few weeks just started spinning 1 tire. Either the welds broke or the spider gears. I don't know why either would have happend because I haven't done anything hardcore to break them. All i have done is pulled a trailer (est. weight 120LBS) and that's just around my yard. So all I have done with it is move it around. I don't even want to do that because either way there is metal parts broken inside the transaxle, and i don't want to risk fuckin something up. I just don't feel like taking the damn thing out again because it wasn't but a few weeks ago when I got it locked. It's a pain in the ass to take out,and put back in. That's for sure. So tomorrow i'll be taking it out and looking to see what the problem is.
Also follow my other project Ole Rusty Red,there is now new plans for it. Thanks for reading

| Yeah i have a few i definitly would never sell - heck im driving 2,100 miles ( round trip) to get my first brand new tractor , my first tractor to kick off my collecting habit ( i blame my friend for selling it to me- LOL!) and my mudding tractor, which will be turned back to a ho hum mower again - i have enough mods here.
Id like to find a horizontal vtwin for one of my mods - would be a serious hot rod. I have quite a few opposed twins that are pretty strong motors - one was and will be going on a new mod il be building soon. | |
