Step 1: Remove head

Step 2: Remove valves

Step 3: Scrub head and valves with parts cleaner or gasoline and a scrub brush (not a wire brush)

Step 4: De-grease all parts with parts cleaner or gasoline
- This gets the old oil off the parts and makes them easier to work with and also makes them like new parts

Step 5: Blast carbon off head and valves with a soda blaster
-too much carbon will scratch and score the cylinder wall making you loose compression

Step 6: lap valves twisting the valve lapping tool for about 3-5 seconds then lifting valve. Repeat for about a min. on each valve
-makes a better seal between the valve and seat giving you more compression in your engine

Step 7: port/mill head by sanding down rough valve ports (NOT SEATS) left by the sand mold used to make the head
-this makes gas vapors from the carb flow better into the cylinder

Step 8: Add drops of oil to each moving part
-this makes it so when you start the engine for the first time the parts will be oiled and will function propraly before the oil from the engine gets up to the parts

Step 9: Reassemble
