If you want some tips on fiberglass repair, look up Team STEAM on YouTube. He’s a truck painter who handles oilfield rigs and does a lot of fiberglass patching.
Personally I’m an advocate of the “originality” aspect when it comes to paintwork, because nobody ever gets upset when a new scratch appears in patina. But that’s just my .02 and it’s your tractor. Nice score!

I've got a SS16 that was given to me and had trees and vines growing up through the chassis and lots of wasp nests. I restored and I use it for towing trailers and a wood splitter.
It has the OEM big Briggs twin engine. It runs like the engergizer Bunny. Check the differential for water. It gets in around the gear shifter. I installed a umbrella on the lower part of the shifter to shed the water. You hood can be easily repaired. Mine was broken lots worse than yours and I used the universal angle iron type galvanized metal and made solid braces. (Ace hardware has the stuff tha thas the predrilled 5/16 holes. I've been using it about 10 years and keeping my eye open for a mower deck and maybe a small disc to pull for making Deer food Plots.

I have been tractor hunting lately and have been mildly successful.
A Wheel Horse Raider 10 6-speed $100
Was thinking of either a built 224cc Predator (12hp) or I have a M12 Kohler Magnum I can slip in.
A free 16hp Briggs Vanguard
A Wheel Horse C-161 8-Speed $125
This one is getting the 16hp Briggs.
And a SWEET GT6000 Craftsman for $100.
I dumped a little gas in the carb of the GT6000 and it fired right up but blew fur and feathers out of the shrouds so I will have to strip off the tins and clean up the mouse debris. I hate those little suckers.

That 820 and Sears GT6000 holds a lot of potential. No opinion on the engines, since I am a OPE newbie engine wise. Though the 22 HP Predator on my chipper is quite the beast.
