China atv needing help if anyone nows

Hey I have 2 China made atv for my girls and I was wondering if there is anyone in works on them nows alot about them one of them is 72 cc roketa and the other is a 110 cc roketa. And IV bought new components for both and wireing harness looms and still can't git them running

Have you checked spark? Sprayed starting fluid in em?

Rustbuckets garage IV change it all out new stuff in them and nothang but the 110 run a year ago after I changed everything on it it stated right up and the girls road it around all day one and it quite running and never would start back nor hit after that and the lil one has all new components and new coils and hit want start either

I've worked on a bunch of those engines and overall they're fairly basic but there can be issues with the wiring inside connectors being loose, that's one of the most common things I've seen with them.

As @Rustbucket Garage asked, have you checked for spark and or sprayed starting fluid? Does the plug get wet after cranking for a few seconds? Please tell us what you've tried and what you've tested,  the fact you replaced everything doesn't mean anything at the momemt considering they're not working.

If it has a remote kill box that could be an issue or a forgetten tethered kill switch as I discovered on a machine, have a look through this thread maybe something will jump out at you

@brainator I have done everything I can an the do git gas and IV put new card new cdi box and the lil one had the box attached to the frame but the wire that went to it cut and me an woman bought all new wiring harness loom carbs plug u name it IV done it and still nothang and I watch video after videos on them and still nothang and I did find this on the 110 cc

All that and yet you didn't answer if it has spark...

No need to repeat yourself we've already read what all you've done although it's a little difficult to follow along when you post in one long jumbled sentance, please work on that or you probably won't get as much help as you could.

Considering the starter is toast on the 110cc I think it's best to put that machine aside for now and concentrate on the 70cc then come back to the 110 after. So the 70cc... does it have good strong spark? Is enough fuel getting to the cylinder to make the spark plug wet after a few seconds of cranking? Answer these questions and we'll move ahead.

Yes they have spark cause I found out the hard way when I grab the screwdriver I had stuck in the end of the cold and my 2 year old son hit the starter button and it eat me up and yes it gitting gas to the cyclinder

Okay well spark is good BUT is the spark strong as seen at the spark plug? That makes all the difference, trust me. Spark should be bright blue, almost white and you should be able to hear it crack! If it's orange it's weak and won't overcome compression so it's time to test with another plug, if still weak clean the ground for the coil, in fact it would be a good idea to clean every ground on the machine to be on the safe side. If still no improvement I would get a brand new NGK CR7HSA (4549) and try again. If STILL no improvement it's time to start swapping parts from the other machine over ONE AT A TIME starting with the coil.

There's fuel which is good, but is it enough? If a dry spark plug with the igntion turned off isn't soaked after 4-5 seconds of cranking the engine then chances are there's not enough fuel. With the spark plug removed I can see gas spray from the cylinder and am able to soak my finger in seconds on a good known working engine.

Assuming spark and fuel check out, some things that come to mind are a restriction in the intake, plugged exhaust, valve lash out of spec, low compression or crank-to-cam timing is out (jumped tooth or stretched chain).

You have 2 sets of parts to test with and against each other, you can do it! Lol

The spark from the screwdriver layed again the motor is blue that way but when u stick a plug in it the blue spack goes away but the spark isn't blue it's dull oranges color but the plugs is brand new cause I got them when I order the rest of the parts and stuff for them.

Doesn't matter if the plug is brand new, I've gotten brand new defective plugs before, I also only trust name brand plugs such as NGK, Champion and Autolite because they work best and last the longest.

Now you have to get down to the reason spark is weak and you may end up with a running engine!

@ brainator i just didn't think of that cause all my stuff I order came from Amazon and the new lawnmower part that I had put on the hydro ys 4500 craftsman cause it the only place I could find with cheap parts cause I couldn't afford the high dollar parts cause down here we are barely makeing ends meat as is .

I've gotten plenty off offshore stuff and 9 times out of 10 it's good but certain things like spark plugs I won't cheap out on, a few extra bucks for piece of mind is a price I'm willing to pay!

I've heard stay away from the golden looking plugs. Not sure if that is what you got.

I think I'd have to go like cause I ain't been out in the building in over week now.

If you have hot spark, gas, and air, and it does not start, then I would check the timing. Though making sure the gas is fresh helps.  On my Murray, once I changed the alternator, I noticed the fuel cut off solenoid is not working correctly and I had to prime it to start it. Now it only trickles gas while running.

I mention this because I fixed a scooter bought on Amazon directly from the OEM (?) in China and it had a defective fuel cut off solenoid right from the factory.  I know because I helped the person unbox and un-crate it and I put it together for them.

I had the distributor send me a new carb/shut off assembly.  Changed it out, presto, instant start.  Though it had the opposite problem, it was flooding the carb and never shutting off. If it is flodding the carb, the oinly way  to start it with be with WOT and no choke.

As others have mentioned, check the valve lash. Make sure the timing is correct.  If you lose compression by bad valve lash or the spark is happening at the bottom of the stroke, it will likely never start.

When in doubt, I use a spark detector between the plug and wire, if the spark is strong enough, it will start the engine even with the tool in place.  Usually shows white or blue.  If in doubt, then I get my spark gap tool and measure how many KV the spark is at.

@JB_4x4 thanks man I appreciate it but come to find out the starter is done on the 110 an on the 72 cc is need the correct main wiring harness loom cause I tune the main out and ran jumper wires from the new components and it fire right up but I never cut the plugs I stuck the jumper wires to the same colors of wires and it run good an alil fast formy lil girls an boy and it don't have a justing throttle cable like the 110 cc dose the 72 cc had the safety box on it but when I had to remove it cause it had a pull card thang on it but the other peace when with it was gone so I remover the safety box on it an rewire it for now until I can git the right loom I need.

The thumb throttle should have a limiting screw built in, in this pic the red line happens to point strait to it! Lol
