New Guy from KY

Hi Im David.

Long time GT guy and I just finished my diesel conversion on one of my 420 John Deeres. Its time for a new project. I stumbled across some guys doing overlanding mowers and have never seen that. I got injured years ago and have not been able to get in the woods since. A off road lawn tractor may be the answer. Im currently in the market for one to start the build. I'm fortunate to have 60 acres of woods to play in.

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you! Whereabouts in KY are you? Russellville/Bowling Green area here.

What diesel did you swap into that 420?

Im in Georgetown and I put a Kubota D600 3 cylinder in it. cheers

Eh, you’re about 3 hours from me. Still a little closer than Josh Rowe’s place, he’s over in Means. His YouTube handle is Giverthebeans97. His channel shows a lot of the good riding out there.

That 420 should be pretty strong with that diesel then! What did you do with the old onan out of it?

giverthebeans is what lead me to this venture. I stumbled across his vids. Ive watched most of his and Mr Stubabaker is the other one ive been watching. Ive traveled the DBBB before. I traded it for a plow. My other 420 has had a Honda swap. Chasin Content is my channel and you can follow the build on there.

Thanks, I finished the build last night so ill get the side shields on tonight and its ready to work without being messed with.
