2023 Build-Off Instructions!!! Ready... Set... BUILD!!!

Wow, is it that time again?  Grab your tools; get your tractor parts pile ready!  The 2023 ATLTF Build Off begins NOW!

So what do you need to do to get started?

1.) Make a sign with the following info:
( The sign can be written or printed, but the password MUST BE HAND WRITTEN.)

ATLTF 2023 Build-Off
Password:  carburetor
Date of entry.
Your ATLTF Username

2.) Now, take a picture of that sign with whatever parts/tractor you're beginning with!


(Please note, not computer generated like above)

3.) Start a new thread in this section --> Build Off Entries Title your post with your name and project, ie: Doc's Demon or Rick's Racer or whatever. Be creative!  When we accept your entry, a [23] will be added to your title.  Please do not add this yourself.

4.) In your thread, post the picture(s) and a description outlining your build plans. Remember that your project must be LESS than 50% finished to qualify, so you need to convince us you have a lot of work ahead. Make it count!

5.) Once we've had a chance to go over your entry post and determine that you're good to go, your thread will be moved to the Contest Build Threads section. Remember to review the Rules and make sure your sign has ALL the info on it, or your entry will not be qualified. **THE RULES HAVE UPDATED for 2023**

Sweet! I'm in, I'll do my official entry tomorrow probably I've been collecting and ordering parts for a few weeks now and am itching to get a start on it! Lol.

Are we still giving a 75% completeness grace to some of our members from last year's Build Off?

One question, what if we already have a build thread going? Is there any way we can continue the same thread? I myself would like to keep my tractors progress all in the same thread if possible.

@Mrbrucie22 I had the same question last year! The answer is yes AND no! Lol.

You need to create a new topic in the Build Off Entries section and your original thread will be locked until either the Build Off is over or if you officially pull out at which time your original thread will be unlocked and all posts from the Build Off thread will be moved into it if you would like, at your request for continuity of your thread. It works out pretty seamlessly too as can be seen in @Rustbucket Garages "White Lighting" thread starting at page 8 and ending at page 12.

Who all is in the build off and how can I join the build off

@Hillbilly mowers if you look on the far right side of the top bar you'll see a tab that will take you to the Build Off menu and to see the entries go to "Build Off Topics".

There's only about a month and a half until it's done and the latest you could enter is October 31st, check out the rules HERE.

Brainator thank you so much for the information and I was wondering if there is any Kohler engine guys in this forum and or link u could point in the right direction to on hydro mud mower and fnr transaxles tips on make them better than what they are because down here in Booneville ky all I have found is hydros an fnr transaxles and stuff and I have a craftsman lt4000and it running an driveing but when I use the deck it make the engine flood out so I was just thinking about retiring it from mowing duty to an offroader

Np but this isn't the right space to be chattering about engine issues, we try to keep the threads on topic. I'd suggest browsing the forum and using the search feature,  there's alot of information floating around and there is a engine section in the technical forum which can be found under the HOME tab up top. You can also start a topic (in the appropriate section) to get help on your issue, the more info you can provide the better and pictures of the engine and model plate/sticker is always helpful. An issue like yours isn't necessarily a Kohler thing but a general problem that hopefully we can help you sort out
