I was thinking of reusing the scripting for the creating country flags for your profile.
Good Idea? Don't care? Don't bother!
Obviously, you would not have to participate. Information would be pulled from your profile. So, you would have to have your location filled in with at least your country to participate.

I said good idea because it can help us help other members if we know roughly where they are. People ask questions and it is sometimes difficult to answer if we don’t know something about location.

Here are some examples. I'll put one under my name in a few minutes so you can see. Maybe I can make a more dressed up version. This is just a kick-off.

Just the flag. Can the flag go up with the awards to save space?
I can make the flag smaller. It actually will take less space at the bottom as it is only using 30 pixels of height (I can make it less here), where if it was put up in the award section it would take 50 or so pixels plus padding space around that.
This is another option I was thinking.

If they don't recognize the flag, it doesn't really matter that much it just means "too far" i would have it as an option, just have a few common flags and then the option to upload your own

I may be leaning towards the small icon flag under location. It will be a user option to select from a set. If not there, they can contact me @MightyRaze on the forum. If you hover the little flag, you get the hover text of the flag. It's pretty unanimous right now, so I may push forward.

@Nevadablue pretty much nailed it. For instance, we talk about Harbor Freight or Tractor Supply, Canadians talk about Princess Auto. I know we have a location field, but many do not fill it out. I know you don't have to fill in the flag attribute, but it is something fun and you do not have to figure out what to put in it.
