Oh, I think it kind of is, I just showed up last year, I think some of the OGs can testify that it was getting really slow and it's been picking up a ton lately

Yes  @TechnoChicken is right. You’ll notice there never was a 2021 build off and only 2 winners for 2020 because there wasn’t any more who finished. That’s just how low traffic was. It really started picking up in fall last year again and I guess that’s what brought the BO back. It’s weird how traffic comes and goes. Almost all the members who used to be active when I joined barely log on let alone post anymore. I can only name 2 who are still around quite a bit.



On another note, do any of y’all members that have been around for a while miss the days when Richie and DWCR would pick at each other like siblings in the chat? And Beal would always get lost to the fridge and whatnot? Oh the good ol days

It's a niche inside a niche

Firstly anything lawntractor related has been going out of fashion for a long time now.
Secondly fabrication and just doing things with your hands are not what the younger generation is into anymore, I can buy a chingling atv for next to nothing.

All that aside Its always been more of a trend to simply make lawn tractors go faster and more like a go kart in general.

personaly i beg to differ.. at least personaly as i am a part of that younger generation, however i know what you mean nobody wants to do fabrication i was blessed as my grandfather is a master fabricator and taught me every trick of the trade and latter today i will be posting an image of my most recently completed fabrication project. ive been trying to get my friends into the hobby but thats not working out so whell i dont know why but mud mowers arnt apealing to people mabey its because of the amount of fabrication needed idk but i personaly love the trill of mud mowers if you do it right they are way more of a blast than any atv

Just having fun, I've been fairly busy lately going back to my old job because I have a feeling the grounds keeper job will be contracted out as they have already given away 5 of the schools lawns.

Anyway I am going back to my former job and I'll be making $7 bucks more an hour than my former job so I have been busy with a vacation, vaccination and more relaxation and also some real work like cutting down a large pine tree that was dead and tomorrow we,ERR I'll be pouring a small slab next to the house which will be one of four.



The tree was 23" across where I cut it and all I have is two 18" saws.



It looks like this now and I'm good with it. Anyone want a 10' x 23"dia pine log?


Cutting all the limbs off and stacking it into two piles so at some point I can get the trailer back there was a bit of work and I still have more cutting to do on it.

You should see if a logging company would buy that, a nice thick log like that could be worth a couple bucks, even if you just gave it to them then you wouldn't have to worry about it?
(Unless you need firewood)

being pine it's not good for firewood maybe a camp fire but it goes up pretty quick but I was wondering just how big of a post i could get out of that piece.

Let me clarify, these were accounts created that was never logged into "ever".  These were accounts created and activated that never saw a return logon.

I never delete an account that has posted at least 1 time.  Everyone posting here will never get deleted by me ever.

Yea that makes more sense as them you don't delete possible last trace of online history. I know for my trailer i only knew one dimension that someone had posted about 10 years ago on a different forum and based off of that i used Trigonometry and The Pythagorean theorem in-order to figure the rest of the dimensions. And without that one single pice of history i wouldn’t be able to build my trailer to factory spec.

What's nice here, if a user does get deleted that has posted. The messages stay and the user changes over to Guest. Same for banned accounts.

Little bit of concrete work today.
It came out OK.
Next will be the low area with the broken patio stones and bucket, then right in front of the side door step, then from the side door step to the back of the house then finally a small 4' wide sidewalk.

Is haspin still happening this year and what dates?

Currently having a mystery misfire   cant figure it out. I changed plugs after one unscrewed and it just missfires to hell and back im hoping to make it to haspin this year

Maybe needs a valve adjustment, carb cleaned or has a vacuum leak?

Found my issue sorry for posting in offtopic an airfilter housing screw was missing when i got the tractor. I told myself i shouldnt store bolts in the valves lol. The intake valve was hung open from a bolt it runs good now

Well f this day, it's my birthday and besides having a normal workday my father in law who's living in with us had a minor stroke, fell face down on the tile floor.
so besides the bleeding he lost control of any bowel movements so I had to literally hose down my house and throw out furniture.

He's in the hospital, looking a bit promising but still bad

Sorry to hear that man.  I had a family member that had some kind of medical incident about 20 yrs ago.  Not sure but also lost bowel control and more when I was living at home with my parents still.  We had to rip the carpet out of the house.  But on a lighter note, I hope you birthday gets better.

WOW sorry to hear that......and I thought starting back at my old job was rough but having a family member have a stroke makes going back to the old grind a cake walk.

I hope your father in law makes a full recovery.

The seat suspension works alot better then I expected. Kind of a pain to figure out the sweet spot to mount them but way better then springs by themselves

Cool! I don't think I've seen anyone put one on a LT/GT before! Good stuff!

I been looking into it and haven't found anyone that has done it either so figured I would give it a try.
