Well heck man you didn't say it was a Kawi.... that changes everything.  When someone says they have a 50/90/110cc and don't give a name brand I tend to assume they're talking about a offshore machine. You need to get into it again anyways and when you take off the airbox you'll see the air ports facing you if they're there and I bet they are but because you're running the factory airbox you're probably good that way if it seals well. Another possible spot for crud to get in is the fuel cap if it has a air vent nipple on the top and you don't have a filter on it,  just sticking the hose in the handlebar padding isn't enough.

I'd find and download the manual for your specific carb before you mess with it too much. At best keep track of where the mixture screw was by turning in all the way in until lightly seated,  counting how many turns then turn it back out to where you started,  then start making adjustments in corse (1/4 turn) increments going to no more than 3 turns out or when the spring loses tension and no less than a half turn out. Always give it about 30 seconds between adjustments for it to take affect. The ideal setting for most machines is going to fall between 1.5-2.5 but I've had to install new pilot jets to get to that point, at the factory they put one in that SHOULD be good no matter where the bike ships but they can't fully account for all attitude and atmospheric differences everywhere.

It's so tough to diagnose and help like this or even over the phone for that matter but I'll do my best. I've had friends call me over and over explaining and me giving them things to try because they don't want to come all the way out here but when they get frustrated enough that they do  or o go there I've usually solved it in a short time. So if you want to buy me a plane ticket and pick me up from the airport.... lol

Weird question for @mightyraze , there is a "points" counter and a "posts" counter on someone's profile at the side, are the points like "total likes" or is it something else?

This is an excellent question that I have wondered myself! You should tag @MightyRaze as so or he may miss the question you have asked though!

I'm finally here.  You get points for different posts, likes.  It's a system I'm not sure I care for? or I just don't understand it yet.

In other news.. I'll be posting lightly again.  Monday my laptop kicked it... Today my desktop kicked it. SO, I am running on a REALLY REALLY old pc that I ran Linux on for fun.  Like 10 years ago.

I have it running decent.  Maybe it will work out till my new laptop comes in.

Good luck on the computers. I’m in the process of reviving 3 old ones so I can run some dinosaur software for my gps and other OLD stuff. One windows 7, one windows 8 and one XP. What fun. I’ve been flogging the critters since the PC1. I guess I should move to Mars.

Oh... and to top the day off.  Popped a tire that has less than 6k miles on our van.  Spare tire design puts the tire under the center of the van where you can't get it. (brilliance).  Wife's dad came by and we ran to the house and got my trusty get-me-home trailer tire.  Again, it got me home.

The knuckles for the Cub Cadet came in late last week so I installed them today and found a set of wheels that will work temporarily to be able to move it around. DirtyRat - OFF-Topic Anything 2022 - Page 11 20220572

I also found a drag link, tie rod and draw bar (hitch plate) for a good deal on eBay so I ordered them up and I cleaned up the hydro dump valves (2 weeks ago) and got them working (the buttons were seized) so I'll be able to pull it around, shouldn't be long now until I test the hydro system out! If that goes well I'll probably start a build thread on the old girl but because it's low on the priority list of things to work on it will be slow going! Lol

Well, i used some of my old desktop support brain cells to deduce my issue with my desktop while I wait for my new laptop. I deduced my video card was the culprit for the crashing. New card in, so far so good! I guess I am back.

Look at that Hot Rod! Straight out of the 70s! Raked stance, drag pipes, rear tires that stick out past the fenders! I think Mighty is out here showing everyone else who's boss!, probably popped that tire drag racing a 1970 454 el camino supersport or something! Cool

Nah I'm just giving you a hard time. We've had some issues with tires around here too. Brand new tire went flat on the camper right before we left to go camping on spring break. Glad we checked before we hit the road but just crazy it went flat within 3 days since the last check. We aired it up and doused it down with soapy water to try and find the leak but we couldn't find a leak anywhere. We ended up putting the spare on just to be safe but when we got back the tire was still holding air just fine. confused craziness!

Then moms jeep wheels decided to get us in a pickle too. My mom put aftermarket wheels on her jeep and the hole for lug nuts are just big enough for a socket but you can get chrome socket it their decently. Well the guy that rotated the tires last stripped out the studs using an impact and an impact socket. No big deal these things happen I know but I'm a little ticked that the guy didnt stop after the first time it happened, he just went ahead and stripped out more! DirtyRat - OFF-Topic Anything 2022 - Page 11 2429134702 He did manage to get off and replace a couple one's he stripped but I'm guessing he went ahead and and impacted them back on messing up even more! DirtyRat - OFF-Topic Anything 2022 - Page 11 252588580 You'd think by now he'd catch on and realize that the lug nuts need to be able to move around a little bit when taking them off and by using an impact socket he wasn't giving them any room so it binds and strips.

Long story short me and dad had to drill through 2 lug nuts and the studs in order to get the wheels off. The key was taking your sweet time, going slow, lots of pressure, oil regularly, and you MUST have cobalt coated drill bits or else you'll never make it through the hardened studs. We did find that the factory studs were way easier to drill through than the aftermarket ones, which didn't seem to matter since they both stripped but makes you wonder if the aftermarket ones are hardened on purpose or the factor jeep ones are made from cheap materials or just weren't heat treated properly. scratch

Side Note: I know I haven't been on here much and that's because I've been busy with college and in my free time I've been working on my car. I had to make a video for a website I'm making for English class and my website is about classic cars, so I decided to do a podcast interviewing my buddy Kevin who has a 1981 Z28 Camaro. I even threw in some funny stories and edited it like a funny moments video from 2012. Though y'all might find it entertaining if you like old cars!

Hope not to jinx myself, but running all day smooth as silk. I need to encode video to see if it is faster or slower than the old video card.

So if you want to buy me a plane ticket and pick me up from the airport.... lol

the bike ran well this weekend so i didnt mess with it, next time it starts messing up i will try that stuff out and see if it works

Hmm... Ideas are brewing.  9hp Briggs vanguard from a generator. It runs well.  The generator somewhat grenaded and took out the outer windings.

DirtyRat - OFF-Topic Anything 2022 - Page 11 Img_0043

I could:
  1. Make a mowkart using the tapered shaft. (I have the generator side too that I could use for a pulley or chain hub.)
  2. Get a vanguard 9hp crank without the taper and make a mowcart (sounds more $$)
  3. find someone to machine the crank.
  4. sit on the engine.

DirtyRat - OFF-Topic Anything 2022 - Page 11 Img_0044

The cage I could:
  1. Make a utility trailer, the tank is good.  Needs a new bung. (i like what @alliskidd21 did here)
  2. sit on it
  3. scrap it.

HOLY COW!

crank for this engine cheapest I found so far is around $150 on evilbay.
Tapered it will be.

Thought about electric start.
Just the flywheel alone is just over 300 where in stock and 250 cheapest out-of-stock,  I didn't even look into the stator, or starter.  Gave in at that point.

Pull start it will be!  It's pretty easy to turn over and starts on a couple pulls.

I got a tapered shaft motor too, would be interested to see how you rig something up to make that work...

And, $150 bucks for a crank? GET OUT! I could literally buy that whole motor used for that price, some things are just way overpriced...

Hey @diddie I see you have a Cub Cadet, you been holding out on us?! Lol. Is that a 129 or 169? I know the 149 came with hydraulic lift standard and it was supposed to on the 169 but they ran out of parts and it was an option for the 129 which came standard with electric lift. It's actually a 108. iv'e been thinking on starting a thread on it but i haven't had time. it has the manual three speed trans. no low range. no hydraulics. I built the three point hitch from scratch. But it is my work horse and it stands up to the challenge !

The ones I saw were about $50-70.  Maybe I can find a cheaper one.  I've contemplated using the other end of the generator part if I can.  I'll just have to cut off the stuff from the generator.

50-70 bucks is still quite steep to be honest... that 3PH you have there, is that actually made to class 0 spec or is it just for custom attachments?
