Honestly, who owns a golf cart for the purpose of golfing? Also, I don't talk to people who own EV's and that includes electric golf carts Nah, I just don't see the point of them, thats all, and they sound kind lame to be honest

HAH, they kinda are. But they're also kind of impressive with how much abuse they take as golf carts themselves are really freakin' tough. But as in my sig., I am a professional golf cart abuser . This thing has actually pulled some HUGE logs around. As well as taking almost all the atv/tractor trails, and I've even pulled a 4wd diesel Kubota out of the mud and a brand new Tacoma out of the mud with it lol. I don't know how that little thing stays alive but it does.
Are golf carts fairly cheap down there? I haven't been able to find one up here for under 1k? Also you might want to try gas swapping that cart, would be kinda interesting, does that cart have 1 motor with a live axle or 2 with a electro diffy? (The only reason I know those exist is from tinkering with a terrible pwr wheels) The funny thing about the power wheels is when is was like 5 I wanted one so bad and now over 11 years later I have one (that I got for free)(It's a pink jeep) and i've rode it once (I'm a little too big for it, I think my knees clear over the top of my head while driving) thought I was smart to put a 12v batt in it but it turns out it's 12v from the factory so it needs 24v to go fast, no worries I have lots of old car batteries, think I can burn the motor out? Anyhow, time goes on, you grow out of your toys, and sometimes your toys grow out of you Kind of sad when you get your toys 6 years after you would grow out of them...
Just realized I have 4 extra batteries, I'm thinking 48v would rip pretty good, might start with 24 so I get a little rip time before I burn the motors out...

Nah we bought this one from the dealer used. Was about 2-3K I think. Any working golf cart here is easily over 1K. Used ones from the dealer are now going for 6K! It's insane.
I've been planning on adding a small fire extinguisher to my builds for just that reason...I don't want to stand by helplessly watching my work go up in flames if anything happens.
Ugh... ready for this weekend to be over. My computer died yesterday, last night the dog we dogsit from time to time, he's old, had a potty accident. That got under the flooring in the living room. Had to tear that up to clean and buy new pieces to put back down. Took my transaxle bull gear hubs for #dirtyrat over to my in-laws to drill out to 1" on my wife's dad's drill press. Broke the chuck on it... and the hits keep coming.

A few days ago I decided to have a look at an engine a friend and I traded some stuff for a couple years ago, I knew it was a 14hp Kawasaki out of a John Deere rider but that's all I knew until recently. I took a picture of the model number, read through the manual and discovered not only does it have a fuel pump but it's a pressure lubed single so apparently I've been sitting on a engine that's worth it's weight in gold (in our world anyhow)!
So this is great news for a couple reasons:
1) I'll order an identical fuel pump for the Mud Duck (that means I always have a identical spare) and a couple rebuild kits. 2) It will be a perfect motor for The Warhorse seeing as how it's going to be an offroad rig that will experience hills and uneven terrain.
Don't get me wrong, the original 11hp B&S WILL go back into The Warhorse before anything and I'll probably run it this year but for next year I see myself putting the Kawi in it which leaves me with a motor for The PartsHorse for when I build it (next year perhaps?). What I've been thinking about doing with The Parthorse is first of all renaming it (once I start building it) but the end goal would be to build a little speed racer out of it for hard pack dirt, asphalt and to take out on the lake in the winter and have some fun on the ice!
My day started out rough but slowly improved to this point! Lol
Those are sexy! I'm not sure if I'd go THAT far, I envision more of a Thundercar/Super Stock grassroots style backyard built racecar themed deal loosely based on my friends car I helped him build and race. Can't find a picture atm but it's a tough looking car!
