Fuel tank is cramping my style. lol. JBWeld has a fuel tank fix. I wonder how that would work on a plastic tank.
I tried that stuff on the craps-mans fuel tank a few years back. Might have even mentioned it early on in the og repair thread... don't remember. But I tried it and it was absolutely terrible for me. Could have just been whatever I was doing for set time/cure time type stuff but who knows. I won't be buying that stuff again, but it's up to you if you want to try it. Can't hurt anything if it's already cracked I guess.

Seems to have worked. I had some unfortunate events Sunday that agitated my back injury from last year and has SHUT me down hard. Barely can get out of the chair. I have a normal hand throttle and choke coming in this weekend. The original was choked by the trottle and it's cable is way to short to reach to the front of this engine. I am hoping to be able to move my body by this weekend to install. Not good...

Yeah me too.. Yesterday was horrible. I work from home still due to the covid stuff and I wasn't able because I could not sit long enough to do so. I ended up going to bed like 7 because I just couldn't bear being up any longer.
In other news... this is how Bowser sits until later. Only issue, the right side headlight hits the engine cover. Don't need that popping out down the trail.

Sorry about the back. I KNOW what you mean. I had surgery in 13, and it did wonders. Got a bunch of titanium, one fused vertebra and a cleanout of the arthritis. The Authur itis has come back, but the FIX for the bone and disc issues is still holding. Knock wood.
Throttle... I want to have a hand and foot throttle. If you know how to do that let me know please.
Take care, rest, take drugs.

I did have enough Back to put on the choke and the dash throttle.
Resolved the issue with the headlight hitting the top cover of the engine. Couple felt pads and a change in the hood pin location changed the geometry enough to give space. Didn't change the looks of the hood on the tractor.
Once I get to feeling just a little better, I will need to work on the exhaust next. Local Lowe's is out of conduit so this may be fun. I do think I have what I need to get at least a 12 inch pipe started off.

Well my back put a kink in trying to get this fired back up this weekend. Last weekend was a bit of a cluster. A week ago I changed out the toilet in the RV. Video here:
I try to keep my larger jobs spread out. I forgot a bud of mine was coming over to troubleshoot a few issues with his car. That required some bending I wasn't ready for I do not think. To add to that there was some family stresses we were dealing with. Then to cap last Sunday off, one of our senior dogs died. It was expected, but not so sudden. I'm glad though since he didn't suffer any. Stress and extra physical activity were not a mix.
I also need to find me some exhaust tube/pipe.

Sorry for your loss bud. We’re here if you want to talk.
Thanks, I'm good. Helps when you know it is coming, then it is fast with no suffering. We're down to 5 dogs now and 4 cats. I have 2 more senior dogs I expect to loose in the next year or so. No new animals for a long time.
Hoping to get back to the tractor this week.

After a back spasm today, I seemed to have loosened a tiny bit. Probably endorphins. So I took that opportunity to build and get one zoomie-ish pipe on.

While I can still move, I worked out the other pipe!
Now to check spark. Make sure the diodes are good. Then get some gas. Thinking about a fuel shutoff where filter is and move filter to down a couple inches towards the carb before I fill with gas.

I got it started up today.. I revved it a few times. Got on to take a lap around the yard. After about 20 feet the engine went into full rev mode. Just guessing, I went from around 3k to 4k and was rising. Not sure if the governor let go or what. Engine also smoked a little.

I got out in the garage today, as it was a better day for my back. There's oil coming out of the exhaust pipes.... Man, I am not getting any warm fuzzies from this engine. Glad I only paid 30$ for it a few years ago. I'm going to pull the motor back off when I can get the ability to and check the governor. I am looking for another engine. I would like to find a single like I have on my craftsman mower.

So. I haven’t touched this thing in a couple weeks. I’ll see if the daughter wants to help work on it. I need to pull the engine and check the Governor still. Maybe sometime this week. Just after the last post the Dr changed my meds. Ended up with a bad reaction to it and within a couple days I had full reverse on getting better and lots of reactions. Hence the three or four day disappearance. I’m getting back on track I think now. Taking muscle relaxers at night now. My original muscle sprain in my back has healed but in the meantime that put my back arthritis in a frenzy. A couple more weeks and I should have that manageable again. As for the oil in the exhaust…I think that was just blow by from over revving.

Sorry about the back issues. Sometimes muscle spasms or pulled muscles can take a while to heal. I had a pulled muscle a few years ago and had to have therapy for that one. Grrr... Don’t give up on the builds. I hobble around... and have at least 6 places to sit down all over the shop. I have a couple of those metal milk crates (long rectangular ones) that I carry to where I work. Most everything I do out in the shop is sitting down. Makes it possible to keep playing with a lot less pain. Plus, with the nerve damage in my right leg, I’m not too stable, so sitting helps a lot.

I think this build has come to a stall... I've kind of lost interest. I think my daughter has lost interest. The motor needs more in parts than what I paid for it. I hate dead end builds... but I have to do it.
[adm]This build has ended. I'll give notice should I start it back up.[/adm]

I know. Sad thing… I can see who and when members log on. There are about 20-30 members that log in weekly but never say anything anymore. There are a couple admins that haven’t logged in for over a year. At this rate why bother with build offs. No fun with just one or two people.

Sorry that the build didn’t work out for you. I agree that forum traffic has slowed down pretty drastically these past couple months.
Speaking of the admins, Did something happen to Doc’s account? I have seen him post on YouTube but he’s not been on here in quite a while.
