Mooch here from PA. Wanna mod the Craftsman!

Hi all. Been watching some youtube of offroading mowers. Had no idea this even existed! There's like a whole community of folks mudding their mowers. It's great! I wanna play too!  

So, first things first. What do I even have. Serial number is mostly scratched off. But I believe it's a 1998 model. And all the pics of the LT1000 I found look different than mine.

I haven't even fired it up in a while. So I have to get it running again. And I need to fix the brakes. And I know the first mods I need to do are throttle pedal and pulley swap.  Anything else I need to do to get started?


So basically I am looking for some help to get the ball rolling. Maybe part numbers for brake components. The brakes are um...nonexistent on mine. Took off on a hill and almost killed me already. And maybe some help on how to route the cable to install a throttle pedal.

You basically have an LT1000 with an oddball hood.

If the brakes are still on the tractor, try this before you go ordering a bunch of parts:

RedneckComputerGeek's original main mud mower was that model with that hood.

Well. I may dive into mine and have to watch that later. Any brake repair videos out there maybe a touch less cartoony? I'm not sure sure what demographic these guys are going for, but I ain't it. That being said, I do appreciate the suggestions and replies.
