WANTED: any manual (shiftable) mower or peerless (indiana)

i live in roachdale indiana and im looking to buy/trade for a peerless 5 or 6 speed transmission or rear engine mower with the transmission im not really picky. or a mower chassis with any manual shiftable transmission thats free and rolls thats not blown. i wanna build an offroad mower but cant find any mowers or ill trade my john deere 21hp with 124hrs for a running driving manual mud mower i have 120$ to spend so please let me know what you guys got i can pay for gas or pick up if close. thank you

I’m in indiana and I’ve got a stash of MST-206 transaxles, I’ve got a simplicity 4212 as well that I haven’t messed with in a couple years. Really stout frame, mostly complete, 12 horse briggs with a peerless 801 trans. I bounce between lafayette and Indianapolis pretty much every weekend

Have you checked Facebook marketplace? Come April everybody sells their mower for dirt cheap because the carb is gummed and “it won’t start so it must be worthless.” Heck sometimes people literally give them away if you are able to get it immediately, they go quickly.

I could probably do 120 for it. It needs a wiring harness and a throttle cable, maybe the carb cleaned, and it would run and drive. Stock turf tires and open diff, stock rear pulley with (I think) 6” front. Tops at about 12 mph with the stock Governor intact
