1989 Montgomery Wards Limited Edition

This is my 1989 Mont. Wards tractor. It says limited edition on the hood, so one can assume that not a ton were made. Ive only seen a few others in pictures that were like it. So if yall know much about it, feel free to chime in. It's got an 18hp Briggs Opposed and a 7 speed transmatic that only catches 6th and 7th gear as of right now. I got it for free from some guy who said it wouldn't crank over anymore, so he was done with it. After investigating once it was home, I had found that he had done a horrible job re wiring the whole tractor and had left the start button unplugged. Fired right up after that. Ran great until it sat for about a year. Then the starter solenoid quit, so I put in one out of a ford truck from the junk yard. Now the starter is giving out, so I'm waiting on a new one in the mail. Other than that, it needs new belts, the deck serviced, and some other little things. Lemme know if you have one like it or have seen one, as I'm curious if there are many like it around.

That’s just a rebadged MTD. Looks a lot like a ranch king to me, those are made by MTD as well

I figured so much. It's just a different version that I havent seen many of.
